Anyone know between Kumon and CMA , which is the recommented Math enrichment for a 5 year old ? So many tuition centre , very confusing !!

depends on individual child. depends on your child. Every child is different.


some kids love CMA - find it challenging, fast pace. They hate Kumon, find it drilling.

however, the other way round also occur. These kids much prefer Kumon step by step way of learning systematically. They dislike CMA doing tedious, repetitive work.

I am quite puzzled how cma can have on-going classes where you can join anytime, students with diff progress in the same class? Can anyone please enlighten me how this work? Thanks

I would like to know if it is normal for your kid to make 3 to 4 mistakes in their abacus practice book for every 10 questions.


My DD1 is grade 8 for abacus and grade 6 for mental, she can do very well for mental but not abacus. For her abacus book, there is always at least 3 mistakes for every page.

My DD2 is grade 9 for abacus, she is starting to have the same problem as well.

Any comments on this? How to improve?

cam is to cultivate speed skills not brain training because some of the kids don’t know how to draw model drawing.

Hi, am interested to send my girl to CMA. She will be four in Nov this year. Lives in Toh Yi and hope to enrol her at the Bukit Batok branch which is the nearest.


May I know the course fees? Would most likely go for the once-a-week class. Are the teachers ok?
