Goodness, a brolly is to shield the sun or rain, not for hanky panky business.

Yes, the function of the umbrella is to shield the rain and sun (must have UV protection)...but in geylang, it serves another purpose, to get 'business'. Those women can't possibly get biz hiding in a corner...it's very competitive too

Mr Subhas will leave NO stone unturned to protect his guilty-until-proven-otherwise clients…they are guilty no matter what. I guess he is trying to minimize jail term for them.

            Geylang got 2 sides.

if you happen to walk past Geylang to buy things, try not to carry any umbrella.

Geylang has nice food, but insufficient car park lots.
            However, I hardly venture there.

Yes, if one is in that \"trade\", she carries an umbrella.

Seriously? :yikes: I always carry an umbrella if park quite a distance from the coffee shop.

It would be interesting how the trial goes…

It probably set a landmark precedence.

Pple is watching and watever outcome is a message…

They (the men) can visit under aged pros and get away with it, or, prepare to face the music when engaging the forbidden desires of bonking young and nubile chicks.

And, to the young chicks, tread into dangerous waters and prepare to sink, or go in with assurance that the mighty WC will protect you from all harm and hostilities…

What type of society is desired… the court can play a part to shape it.

Even if there is Women Charter protecting the underage girls from sleeping around, it's the lack of respect they have for themselves. Some men will always find the thrill of finding prostitutes, but young chicks will get them into trouble (be it law or AIDS) if they think young girls are 'cleaner'.

besides Mr Subhas, other high profile lawyers also take on the case, leaving no stone(s) unturned during the \"grilling\" session.

some other businessmen also hire their own lawyers to fight.
try to reduce jail term sentence as far as they can, if they can't get off the hook completely.

                  ===============================================

nowadays, this generation of young ladies .... scary

These men didn't hire women lawyers hor ?

Young women find that it's good money to be an escort...they do not see themselves as prostitutes. Some do it bcos they enjoy IT...some do it to satisfy their need for Chanel or LV. Others just want company, like why men find escorts in the first place.

read in the papers about the case of 2 men sentenced for liasion with a 16 yr old PRC prostitute. One was sentenced to 9 months jail and the other was sentenced to 2 wks jail and fined $16,000. The latter brought the girl to the chinese embassy and police bec she complained that she was being exploited by the pimp and that was how he was arrested but was given a lighter sentence because he had tried to help the girl.

but i don’t understand these young girls’ mindset.

if is through this method that they can purchase so many branded LV handbags, branded clothing, shoes, branded items, etc - does it make them satisfied when they open up the closet / cupboard to admire them ?

what’s going on in their head ?
