Oh cool can get SPI bag with 25% discount? when would be the closing date? prefer to get it like last week of Dec 09 so that can have warranty of 3 months.

Someone commented that SPI is heavier than IMPACT. See page 6 of this post.

Before committing SPI, better check out the bag personally. JMHO

After view SPI and Impact, its true SPI is heavier and since i have no trade-in, i end up buying Impact at $100 from toa payoh central shophouse,tink come with some warranty.

Hi all, I will be doing a spree on SPI bags online and delivery will be in December. Collection will be 2 weeks after spree close.

Last month SPI was having a $40 discount sale for many of their bags, e.g. the Smart Lite large at $79.

Today we went to OG and looked at Deuter, SPI and IMPACT. Deuter Scholar ($99) cant stand on its own. SPI is too kiddy. IMPACT model IPEG-62 sells at $99 too.


So we went over to Ergoworks (Centrepoint) and bou IMPACT with our 20% discount entitlement (from buying a chair from the same shop weeks ago).

While we were there, the shop assistant (Mr. Ben) told us a UOB credit/debit card promo that would start tmr till 24th Dec, a bundle of IMPACT bag plus IMPACT accessories (carrier, water bottle carrier, bi-fold wallet & a stationery bag) priced at $138 (UP $184). Or top up $10 for another IMPACT bag. The IMPACT bag in this promo is the small size one.

We did not get the bundle as #1 does not need the carrier/water bottle carrier/stationery bag. We bou the bi-fold wallet with 20% discount too.
Total price we paid $89.55.

I brought along a weighing machine to the store and weighed the SPI bags. It is heavier than the Deuter (small size). The SPI bag weighed over 1kg when empty!

Then you might want to try IMPACT esp if you hv UOB cc.

Post comes handy since I’ll be preparing DS for P1 next year but I cringed when I see having to pay for bags >S$100. Can imagine the retailers money cashing away - so easy to earn money from women and kids. Okay - will check out Impact and see how good that is. Bags need to be light for me.
