my ex maid wants to come back but it would cost rupiah 2m? they say unless she has work permit card already. She has a copy of the IPA, but still got problems. Can she come out to SGP without the KTKLN card first?

              Funz:
My helper just went on home leave and came back earlier this month. She got her KTKLN all done when she went back. There is an office in Surabaya that she got her card done, it is about 30mins from the airport.

I used the very 1st contract that we had with her which was 6 years ago, along with that, her renewed permit and insurance. All went smoothly.
hello, sorry this is a bit repetitious but can i just confirm that the ktkln card can be done with my existing contract, without the working contract done at the embassy? my helper's passport is valid till like 2015 and a trip to the embassy would be a real hassle cos i'd hv to bring my kids. thks for the info!

just to update that i called the office for ktkln and was told that effective march 2012, only the contract issued by the embassy is accepted. also was told that the ktkln card will not be issued if the salary is below $400.

                  Hi,

I am also trying to bring in an ex-Singapore maid by myself, but understand she needs an employment contract from her embassy in order to make the KTKLN card. May I know what is this employment contract all about?

                  Thanks!

So, the employment contract can be made in the indonesian embassy? I am getting confused and not sure how to advise my potential maid to apply for her exit card. Since this employment contract is the new thing now.
