      Kelsy:
Do we need to send our darlings to hanyu pinyin preparatory class before p1?

Won't the primary school be teaching our kids. Why are so many parents doing that?
      Hi Kelsy,
I was asking the same question a few months ago. Espeically with the fact that my DS kindergarden is not teaching them any as they says that the teacher in P1 will be teaching.
But when i further check with friends with kids in P1, they are says the teacher do teach but not in details as most of the kids already learn before...

Thus for your question: Yes the teacher in P1 will teach but if the more than half of the students in her class already know/learn HYPY... i do not think she will be teaching in depth, she will just revise...

So I will be also sending DS to learn HYPY due this this situation...

      Hope this helps..., :please:

Just recieved health check letter from school and say DS is >=97% ( overweight )

            🀷 :yikes: :?:

Do I think to help him to reduce weight now ?
He does not take much dinner or lunch :? .... he loves to eat bread though....

Maybe i should bring him for jogging every evening ? :scratchhead:

what should be the normal weight for height of 111cm ?

              Good morning Crystalbelle,

What is your DS weight? Mine is about 110cm tall and weighs about 19 to 20Kg.
I think its ok if he’s a little bit overweight cos kids sure lose weight when they enters P1 !

My ds1 kindergarten says they will be teaching. So I don't really want to send him. But I realise that the school he's going to had hanyu pinyin spelling in the 1st term.
Wonder if it's too late to look for class in nov if during the p1 orientation shcool has we have to go. :?

Mine's worse. πŸ˜“ His weight is 32kg. Since baby, he's always above the 90% for the weight.
His problem is he's always 'hungry'. He will look for food himself. Now , I have refrained from buying any snacks.

I guess the bread and nutella is a killer for food lover. In order to eat the chocolate, he will eat half a loaf of bread.

Hopefully, when he goes to p1, he will lose weight due to the long hours.

                        Crystalbelle :

Same problem.... Mine only eat broccoli.
Sadly, in preschool, they always have bd packs from friends. No matter how you keep sweets/snacks from them, they still get it from somewhere.
Worst is he gets sweets, chocolate from others when I go to supermarkets, other places. Haiz.
