Hi there,
Congrats to you and your son for getting into GEP.
School timing is 7.30am to 1.30pm everyday except wednesday which ends at 1.00pm. CCAs are usually on Fridays. If your son has CCAs and the other extra classes, the 2nd bus leaves at 4.30pm.
Usually the Chinese Alive! and IRS classes end by 3.15pm, which are conducted on Mondays and Tuesdays. He would have more than 1 hour to hang around school before the bus leaves.
My son will be in GEP P5 next year. I think ACS GEP classes are the most 'relaxed' amongst the 9 centres. The boys really enjoy it and do not sense any stress from them even before the SA2 exams.
Hope to see you in ACS! -

Hi leeven,
Congratulations.
I hope you have a better idea of what to expect after the briefing on Wednesday.
My kiasu wife actually visited the schools we short-listed when kiddo got into GEP last year. They both liked ACS(P).
Incidentally, ACS(P) is holding a fund-raising carvinal tomorrow. Bring your family there to have a taste of ACS culture, esp the parental involvement. I think it would not be incorrect to say it's 'unparalleled'.
Finding a parking lot would be a challenge but shuttle service is available from Newton Food Centre CP.
Cheers! :celebrate:

As for the 'TOP' class, if you are referring to the mainstream classes, that will be 4F...no G class. This class has the most High Ability students and super competitive. Most of the students in this class were expected by their parents to get into GEP but did not make it...so they have something to prove. Just my opinion -
Iβm thinking of sending my son to either ACS Primary or Nanyang Primary for P1 in 2011. Can I get your opinion as to which is the better school, has the best teachers?

dear acs primary parents
my husband graduated from acs primary. my question is, to qualify for the earlier phases of the primary one registration exercise:
1. what evidence is needed to prove that he graduated from acs primary (psle cert? report cards?)
2. if you did not graduate from the pri school but still attended it (eg p1-3), are you counted under this phase (just curious)?
3. alumni association: do members of the acs old boys association get priority to get their sons into acs primary? how is this calculated (for eg, you may have gotten into the association by graduating from acjc, but did not actually attend acs primary).
any and all answers appreciated. thanks all!
