me too...mu elder dd is having difficulty in answering inferential questions already...dunno how she will fare during PSLE in 3 years time.
Try to train her inferential skills in daily life. Eg say \"the laundry basket is so full; I hope it doesn't rain tomorrow morning\" then ask her why you said that. Reading comics like foxtrot, baby blues is also good because a lot of jokes need to be inferred. Doing more compre is certainly going to help also.

Just want to share my own 2cents on Pathlight & mainstream.

I went to a Pathlight open house 8 years ago, when his p2 teacher casually suggested. At that time, the school was quite new with not many classes.
I think the main differences between Pathlight and mainstream are the teachers and students.

In Pathlight, teacher-student ratio is low; son had/still has at least 40 students in his classes.
The pathlight teachers are trained to handle meltdowns, sensory overload etc. They will probably tell you what happened during lesson and teach you how to handle situations.
Mainstream teachers have very little/no idea what to do. Thay will call to complain and ask you what to do.

I was at the canteen during recess during my Pathlight visit. It was a stark contrast to the chaos in mainstream school. The children ate their food in silence.
Mainstream students are chatty, boisterous and even mean. There will guarantee be some form of bullying and taunting, especially our children, especially in the absence of teachers; even in cyber space.

Overall, a child will be safe and well guided in Pathlight. He can probably learn better. There will be a lot less stress for both parents and child.
Mainstream = STRESS for both parents and child
But it builds character; it prepares them for war; and everyone needs to fight their own battle at some point in time.

Again, my visit to Pathlight was 8 years ago.

                      Star89..

Yr son teacher is very unethical !! She shdn't share w others ..

Did nuh refer yr son to physcologist yet ?

Btw how much the talk tool cost?

I just met at fren, she told me her son speak at 3.5 to 4 yo . During his k1 teachers say his son might be special needs too .. She disbelieve and carry on per normal . When come to primary school , school also concern so school did a test n say his son just a late bloomer ... Lucky her..

But as early intervention the better ..
Hav or don't hav get help is better then no help at all..

Anyway nuh pd is just a pd..

These pp just make worried patents more crazy zz.

                      Instead of guiding us..

Does yr son has good eye contact? Maybe yr son just speech delay due to his gum or jaw development issue ? Does yr son play w u? Share his joys w u by making u involve ?
They have a wide variety of tools. You can view from their website. http://www.therapy-resources.com/

The doctor at CDU did not refer to psychologist. The doctor book appointment for OT, ST and wait list to EIPIC. My son make eye contact and share his happiness with me. He is only very slow to warm up. He plays with his brother. He is extremely shy boy but has improved a lot since he attends preschool.
