Hi zNz, I can understand your situation. When my dd was in P2, she was initially very anxious that she can’t meet the mark set by her form teacher. She couldn’t eat and rest well for almost a week! My advice to you like what I did was to gather more concrete remarks from my girl on what this teacher said and then made an appointment to meet the teacher to sort things out. It worked very well and thereafter the teacher was very assuring and often checked back with me on how my dd was progressing with the rest of her class.

So this can be tried first for your case. Just hope it is not the same teacher. Else she has yet to learn her lesson!

zNz, you should really have a chat with the teacher and clarify the expectation? Did the teacher really say she expects all the kids to get full marks for every test? I can’t believe that is possible, as teachers know that the standards in a class varies from weak to excellent… esp in P2 where there is streaming…

hoylj, there’s such a teacher in P2? Oh my goodness… does she think she is teaching in the gifted programme where all the kids are super smart?

wimdils, ya, agree, scary... I could barely figure out the P6 problems :faint:

🙂 p6 long way off, so i'll stick my head in the sand for a bit

ohdaddy, i cannot worry about P6 either, for now, let's get those weekly annoying problemsums.com questions off our backs! Every weekend, we are doing John has 3 oranges, Tom has 12 more than John blah blah blah :frustrated:

My girl keeps asking me why is it always about oranges? Is it because the teacher loves oranges so keeps setting such questions? :rotflmao:

Oh yes, there is! Or I should say \"there was\". But again, it's realistic to know that being in the top 2 classes does not mean all the girls there are Gifted. So, glad to have that sorted out. My dd still turns ok fine - she's still in the H class.

I don’t think every teacher has a blog…heard 1 respect teacher blog everyday on what was taught in class and inform parents of test content. Not from

1 compassion teacher, had to email her to ask. Wish she starts a blog soon to keep parents if class progress…really cool.
