I'm not sure if most of the kids are from rich families but certainly there are students from average families as well. So far did not meet any snobbish kid yet, as to comparing what they have....it happens in every school

Is there anyone travelling to MGS from AMK area be it via school bus or car? Can you share the time needed? And what time your girls wake in the mornings?

Best to contact the bus operator to have a better guage of the timings to/from AMK. Note there are no CCA buses unless you stay near the school.

MGS is a very holistic school. P1 is not stressful as the girls are given time to settle in. The topical tests each term are also straightforward.


The difficulty in the tests increases from P2 SA2 due to streaming - especially for Maths and English. Hence, the girls need to be exposed to higher order thinking questions for Maths. Success in English really differs in each child as it depends on their reading ability. The girls may need more exposure to tackling challenging comprehension and cloze passages.

It is good to note that the quality of results have improved over the years. However, credit should also go to parents and tutors who bridge the gap by exposing their girls to challenging questions. It is strange that the girls are asked whether they have enrichment classes or tuition each year by their teachers. Amusingly, the next question is \"How many of you go to Learning Lab?\"!
