Thanks everyone for your comments and advices. Actually regarding these issue I have already talked with the teacher couple of times. And i have tried to make her understand my girl situation. But her comment is, she has already gave my girl enough time (3 months)!! For example during the every week spelling test my girl always get 8 or 9 out of 10. But unseen dictation she is little bit week ( 2 or 3 out of 5). It is never possible to get full marks in unseen dictation. Also in compo writing she didnt like the way my girl did, she just made a big cross on the answer.
During this age kids need lot of encouragement from parents and also from the teachers. I would like to know does other P2 teachers also have same type of attitude? -
U guys are fortunate to receive emails and sms updates. None from DD’s class. But former teacher is quick to reply emails. However, not the same to be said of the Chinese lao shi.

zNz,if talking to the teacher is not working, I will call the Vice Principal or level head... don't let it drag too long, it will only demoralise your girl further... what kind of teacher is this? by the way, where was your girl studying before you came back to Singapore?
gorilla, Chinese teacher doesn't reply to emails? Or takes like a week to do so? -
michyms, doesn’t reply to my note in helpmate. Didn’t call when form teacher told me she would. Will be emailing her, see if I get any response.

my DD aso say her tcher is v strict with d class. whenever there is class test, she never says when is the test date except tat it will be held one of the days in that week. its even more stressful if we parents dun know when is the exact test date.

serpent, my dd's form teacher told me the teachers are NOT allowed to divulge the test dates except inform parents of the topic and the week when it is happening. To me, it is the strangest thing. If its a surprise test, by all means make it a real surprise, why tell me some and then don't tell me the full details? So that I can revise with my dd by the weekend before and be ready anytime? :scratchhead: i don't get it.

michyms, yes. i too share same tots.. daily have to be v stressed n pressure DDs too. -
serpent, yes, so everyday that week I ask dd - did you have your test today? and when the answer is No, we would revise some more that night. I ended up asking the question four times that week because the test was on Friday... :slapshead:

gorilla, terrible leh... ya try email and see if it works better... at least that goes into her inbox and she cannot say she didn't see. If she doesn't check her email even, she really needs to work on her communicating to parents! -
michyms, ya lor, I find her ‘not quite up to standard’. I even wrote the note in Chinese, just in case she’s not comfortable in English since she’s not local. I dropped her another ‘love note’ in DD’s helpmate, let’s see if she replies today. Anyway, already sent her an email. It’s not just the communication part. There’re things which she mentioned she’ll do but wasn’t done. As long as it doesn’t affect DD terribly, I’ll wait till PTC.
