It also seems that they are playing the YSL being a poor candidate etc....vote wisely... But PM once said you vote for the party and not the person. So far the party has been responsible and dare to take tough actions in this matter. They could have sat on it hopefully the matter can resolve on its own. But they didn't. We shall see. More excitement ahead.

Personally, the YSL didn’t really bother me. Whether we’ve a MP or not, it makes no difference to me.


But I applaud WP for being able to make tough calls on this and expel him. They were also outfront. Read some comments on asking them to be transparent on what happened. So what do these people expect to hear??? Listing of the people YSL had an affair with???

I always feel they could have kept quiet and hope the thing died down? But they didn’t. I also wonder what would the ruling party do if they have such issues. Cover it up and downplay??? I really don’t know. I don’t think everyone is saints/ perfect in ruling party. We are after all human. How is YSL incident compare with the recent 48 men who engaged underage prostitute?

I was actually quite upset with how the PM pushes the blame to WP when they pressed him for the by-election. I also read political review that if they keep playing up the YSL card, it is to their disdvantage.

Well… it seems that we have a decent choice in WP this time round. Finally got a chance to hear his rally speech ytd. He was able to engage and probably a better candidate than YSL indeed. But given that they have to stretch their resources during 2011 GE, they just have to do the best they got. I would like CSM as our MP. Always see him around talking to folks and just so down to earth.

I haven’t seen the ruling party guy before. But I saw LTK and ah huat at a nearby coffee shop having dinner around 1 month ago.

nobody doubts that desmond has uphill and impossible task. hougang ppl would vote anybody as long as he or she is a wp candidate. they voting for the brand, not really the person. hougang is wp stronghold. just like tanjong pagar is pap fort.

DC has been working d ground hard since taking over fr Eric Low in d past yr - credit to him.
However, PEH has been helping out in HG since 2006 before being moved to EC GRC.
