In some schools, there are short performances during

orientation like sports, cultural or club CCA varieties...
From here the children and their parents have an idea
of the many options they have should they be interested
in any of the CCAs offered by the respective schools. ๐Ÿ˜„

In such performances, they garner the strength of the
current students in the school who can showcase the
        particular CCA best.

him learn how to budget..... do u think kids tat age able
            to budget??? :?

is the food in DLS canteen pricey??? i heard fm my nephew
fm unity PS tat their school sells a bowl of fishball noodle with
two miserable fishballs & a couple of slices of fishcakes for
$0.50....am just wondering how many bowls of noodles
my kiddo must eat in order for him to be full....sigh.
or prob they will spend their time in the playarea playing

We give our son $2 a day and he mostly come back with $1.30 back. If I'm not mistaken, the fishball noodle is 70 cents and chicken rice is $1.

My son just finished P1 from St Ignatius. Language is quite OK for him but he struggled in his math. Sighโ€ฆ My dad is coaching him and has been giving him papers from other schools to try but he still flunk his math in this final semester. Need to prepare him better for P2. Any advise?

Need to work on his foundation.
Must see whether he actually understands all the basics..
Like operations... ie. simple addition and subtractions below 100.
                  Early multiplication via grouping sets.
                  Reading time...
                  Number patterns...
Understanding the works of problem sums...

In first 6mths of P1 they will do almost the same like what has
been done in P1 but the numbers get bigger. Problem sums will
grow from 1 or 2-step questions to 3-steps in Primary 2. Which
Maths Textbook is your boy using?

                      Hi! All:

I went to the orientation yesterday and almost settle all the things and now waiting for the big day.

My son was very excited and enjoy yesterday with his new shirt, new pant and new school bag. And he told me he got 2 new friends already. As a parent, we also feel so happy and take some photos. However, felt very hot in the hall, luckily the orientation not drag until 5.30pm.

I was quite puzzled to notice that some kids were not wearing the uniform, do you think because their parent was totally โ€œbo chapโ€? Or course maybe some special reason, like they not able to buy the uniform during the mentioned date as they travelling -----. However, I feel not comfortable when seeing this.

Baby2momma, u went alone or with hubby? Long time never heard from star89 already.

                        Hi ๐Ÿ™‚

Anna...we should have used name tags to identify the mommies ๐Ÿ˜„
was pretty pleased with the Principal and the info given by the teachers.
Also liked the fact that the school kids were very polite and showed lotsa school spirit.
Had a chat with the P and found her to be pleasant .
My son luved the school and is so so excited for next year.
Only sad part is that P1s in DLS still have SA1 ๐Ÿ˜ž oh well ....
