How do we know if kids are stressed?
-
my ds will tell me he is frustrated and stressed. Also he will want to go to bed early.
-
Today, my DS is really stressed. He came home and cried cause he can’t finish his maths sa1 paper.
-
My son will cry.
-
Mine will anyhow throw tantrums. Better to release than keep inside.
At least the tantrum blows over quickly. -
Mine will refuse to do extra work, always complaint of stomach ache.
-
Hmm…it depends on the age of your child? I don’t know much about Primary school…but my ex-students who were in secondary school used to confide in me when they were stressed. The most obvious signs towards their parents were:
Decreased in Communication towards parents
Increase in tantrums (Guys mostly)
Increasing online activities (a creative student of mine created a blog to reach out to other similar "emo" students)
Interestingly though, their sources of stress were mostly social though. Its often relationship problems, or friendship issues. Hope this helps!

mine DD will start talking about school work while sleeping. Depend on the subject that she is having difficulties.
