Heng your DS got a understanding mum like you.. ...He actually came home and cried.
Told him to get over it and move on to the next two papers.
Did buy him ice cream to console him and let him watch an hour cartoon before putting him back to his science revision.
Tell him still have year end exam to 'chiong' ah.. ...
:hugs: -
Yep, but first must Chong for the coming two papers. Chinese and science.
Told him if he put in effort for next two days, then sunday evening, can do badminton an hour with his Dad.
Canβt stress him too much. Later mental block during exam. -

wa!so nice!! so you can go celebrate Mother's day!! Envy!! I still need to slog till next Tuesday eventhough I m not the one taking exam but it sure feels like it!!
I agree with u. It is such a pain and stress to me too although I told myself to calm down. Calming down.... I simply could not.....
We do that simply because we dont want to feel guilty after the results.
I really pity my DD. The amount of hard work she put in last week.... Great. She really co-operated well. I just told her whatever the results are, I appreciate her efforts and committment. It is not all about the marks but about the attitude.
Ok ok no more pom pom girls...until Tuesday. Ok. All the best. -

Same here. One of his classmate left the section c out. That is 8 problem sums.
I notice that different schools have different formats for P3 Maths. Most schools seem to have only one paper with a total of 45 questions made up of 3 sections to be completed in 1h 45min. But some schools have 2 papers - 1 hour each and paper 2 has 10 problem sums.
I think it is important to check the format of the paper of your school and let your child familiarise with it prior to exam. Some children get restless before completing the entire paper and cannot concentrate. -

According to my DS, quite a few scored 70+ for Maths only.. I am curious to see their paper. For CL some even drop to 50-60, and we are looking at tutored kids...
Stress de.. ..and My DS not even from those 'chiong' school.. -
Hi auntieM, do you mean 70+ was something like the highest in the class for your DS maths paper ?

There were a couple that scored full marks, and there are also kids that failed..
DS 'claimed' majority got 70+... must verify later..
No smooth sailing, even for top class de.. ..and only P3.. :faint: -
Feel sad to read that some kids did not manage to complete their papers. If it happened to that odd 1 or 2 kids, it could be exam jitters. But if more then that 1 or 2 in the class, then wonder what have these schools been doing and if the papers were too difficult. If the papers were too challenging then I wonder what is the school trying to achieve.
This is afterall the 1st exam for a lot of these kids. Should ease them into it rather than shock them.
Still don't have all of DD's results. DD was sent home today, she was coughing a fair bit due to her allergy rhinitis flaring up. She was told to go home and rest since exams are over.
