Hi auntieM, do you mean 70+ was something like the highest in the class for your DS maths paper ?

There were a couple that scored full marks, and there are also kids that failed..
DS 'claimed' majority got 70+... must verify later.. πŸ˜„
No smooth sailing, even for top class de.. ..and only P3.. :faint:

Feel sad to read that some kids did not manage to complete their papers. If it happened to that odd 1 or 2 kids, it could be exam jitters. But if more then that 1 or 2 in the class, then wonder what have these schools been doing and if the papers were too difficult. If the papers were too challenging then I wonder what is the school trying to achieve.

This is afterall the 1st exam for a lot of these kids. Should ease them into it rather than shock them.

Still don't have all of DD's results. DD was sent home today, she was coughing a fair bit due to her allergy rhinitis flaring up. She was told to go home and rest since exams are over.

Thanks for sharing auntieM. My dd got her partial marks back for Maths. 62 / 80 (for Section A and B). Section C the teacher hasn’t marked yet. But at the rate it goes, there is no way she can be in Band 1 ler. Really a major drop from when she was in P2. She doesn’t have maths tuition. Just trying to see how long she can β€˜β€˜tahan’’ without tuition.

He actually came home and cried.

Told him to get over it and move on to the next two papers.
Did buy him ice cream to console him and let him watch an hour cartoon before putting him back to his science revision.

Heng your DS got a understanding mum like you.. ...
Tell him still have year end exam to 'chiong' ah.. ...
              :hugs:

Agree abt being understanding. Not all parents will buy ice-cream for their children during exam period. I recall sharing somewhere in another thread that I brought my girls out for a Swensens dinner & ice-cream treat before exams even started but some parents tend to watch children's snack intake. For me personally, taking care of health isn't a one-day thing... It has to be monitored thru out the year exams or not. At least for me, one time of ice-cream won't amount to much. But different strokes for different folks, aye? :celebrate:

After one hr cartoon, mine wud forget abt tough paper liao. :politebleah:

Psst.. new user, I thought you're a daddy! :yikes:

                this doesnt sound good.
i think schools should teach time management (for papers) to these P3s as this is their first time taking an exam that is >1hour.

Agreed. My dd even asked me, \"do you still love me???\". It took me the whole weekend to ensure her again and again that I'll love her no matter what happens. She's in one of the top classes. It must have been quite a blow to her. 😞 Yeah same same. Waiting for Science results today ... Hope you receive good news too!! :xedfingers:

Thanks! She's fine. Happily at home munching through my store of snacks. That's the problem with having sensitive airways. Won't be surprised if DS starts sniffing and coughing too. We are doing some major packing these few days so their allergies are kicking in. Once the dust settles, they will be fine.

Aiyo!! girls are usually more insecure. Poor thing. Try to hug her and kiss her alot. And then say things like \"no matter what happen, mummy still loves you.\" This seems to work on my girl.

But I may have given my girl too much attention that she comes up with funny answers for her test papers.
