Singapore roads not meant for Ferrari. This reckless and selfish person is purely showing off...the female companion is a hostess in night club. At 3am in the morn, what kind of sweet young thing will be going for a spin with married man ?

The wife of this man should show some sincerity to family of taxi driver whom her husband has killed. No need to find out identity of the survivor.

the taxi driver's family mentioned that no one contacted them (the ferrari guy family) and at the moment, they want to concentrate on the funeral matters first and decide what to do next

the bike victim went to console the cabby family right? he steady, salute him got heart.

ST today reported 'sales of supercars on the rise'

        1. some drivers prefer taking their cars out for a spin at night when the roads are clear
        2. Traffic police unable to give a breakdown on the no. of speeding tickets issued for these cars but confirm increase in such tickets each year
        3. one young driver admitted driving his parents' sports car after midnight when there is a need for speed. His average speed is 130-140kmh and have hit 190kmh before when the road was clear. He would slow down if he sees a car and always travel on the right outermost lane.
        4. speedsters favourite racing tracks: expressways, Lim Chu Kang road,
Lornie roads and from Orchard rd to changi airport and back.

it seems to me that even we have the right of way, we have to be on the lookout for drivers who think they can beat you with their speed and if you are driving at late nights and even if there are very few cars, pls
be careful and :siam: if you hear vroom vroom sound nearing you. :nunchuk: :spank:

While my heart goes out to the cabby and the jap passenger, I think the wife of the Ferrari driver deserves some compassion too. We can sit on our high horses and say that she should do this and that as we are not the ones dealing with the very sudden death of our husbands and also their possible infidelity. She will have to face a future of bringing up a young kid and giving birth to another all by herself. The younger one will not even know his/her father. Rich or not, local or not, this is not an easy time for her either. She is human too.

If in her shoes, I know I will definitely want to know who the hell is that woman who was with my husband. I will be reeling with shock. I will be wondering what to do, how to go on now that I am alone. What about my kids. I will be furious with my stupid husband for putting us in that position. The last thing I will be thinking about will be the victims. Maybe when I have had time to process all these then will I start to think about the victims' family.
          I concur with yr comment

Ferrari driver has died and cremated.

But the victims are the families who are truly suffering. It is really heart breaking.
The family of the Japanese lady who died must in shock back home.

I agree with you. I believe I would probably behave in the same manner in such condition.........we are all just human. To some extent, I pity the wife. She is not the one to be blamed for what happened. Her husband is an ADULT, he is responsible for his own behaviour, not her........

An irresponsible person is simply irresponsible.... regardless of nationality.

Totally agree. Right now she is a victim as well.

Hubby cheated her- her self worth would be shattered.
He has left her so suddenly, its going to be a tough ride for her too.
She will not even have pleasent last memories of him.
The mess her hubby left her in...

I would say she has to take care of herself first before she can take care of others. Hope she has the courage to undo some of the pain her husband caused.

In cases where the culprits are alive, they are penalised/fined/made to pay damages.

So in cases where culprits died (eg. this Ferrari case).....what happens? Can the court order the family to pay damages on behalf?
should pay from his estate right.. before it is passed to his family depending on whatever the will states, if any.

                  victims should sue.

LTA shd require all cars (except SPF, hospitals, SCDF vehicles etc…) to have a speed limiter. Ferrari or not, max speed 110km/h.

SG is not that big, no need so high speed.

he and his family are not PRs nor citizens here but have been staying for about 3 years, will that affect the claim or not ? :?
