My DS called me to tell me his results. I m quite happy that from just passed he’s got a 3.2 for Chinese.

My ds sms to say he'll tell me the results when he gets home. Normally when he says that - it's not too good.

Seems like the boys will be getting back some results today? DS was especially worried about his Science results, as the paper was super tough! I told DS not to worry.. but silently, I was :xedfingers: , haha!

ds did very well for eng & math, ok for geog, not so good for history - his inference question pull him down, he says. The boys were taken aback by the picture inference (for history) coz the teacher didn't do picture inference in class.

As for Chinese and Science, it's tmr... I just hope for the best.

eventhough 2.0 is passing overall GPA, but during the parent’s briefing earlier in the year, if I am not mistaken, RI recommends that those who get below 3.2 to reconsider if the child should stay put in RI. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Don't think so.

Spoke with the P recently. They speak with the boys and the parents if the result is below passing / below promotion grade. They will give 100% support to the kid to remain in school. Any transfer out is initiated by the students/parents, not the school.

DS did well for Math too.. DS is very fortunate to have a very good Math teacher who is patient yet firm.. DS says the Math teacher told the boys that their class is one of the top classes in Math..

Eng, Hist & Geog were all above expectations too..

My ds also did quite well for the exams! He scored 4.0 for math ,science and history !!!! :celebrate:
