Yes, I totally agree that "key words" are the key. Pardon the punt. I spent a lot of time with my ds to get him in the habit and discipline of using the keys words. Though he understood the concepts, he loss points using his own words.

I am using the following two books consecutively with my DD1 as there are sections by teachers / authors to provide guidance in explanation .

My son’s science teacher told them to write as many as they can, to have kiasu attitude in answering section B, I disagreed but my son said teacher will scold him if not follow her way. Any comment?

I think that key word is the crucial point in answering as my child also lost mark due to not answering to the key point. I think that I need to train him to answer to the key words although he got good concept.

I agreed that key word is important.

During this SA revision, I get him to write down key words and make sentence.

Keywords are important, but without the proper concept, he probably will not know what keywords to use. The best way is to get more past years papers for him to practice so as to build up his key concepts and let him take note of the keywords when going through the papers with him.
