What is banding classes? Anyway, based on what I know, P3 HA (High Achiever)classes are made up of kids with around 270 & above - a mix of top 5 achievers and the other top few kids fm each class. Even if kids do not get into HA classes, it is alright as everything taught in P3 is the same for all the classes and it is also no guarantee that the HA classes will get the best teachers. Note that school tend to allocate the best teachers to P1 and P5/6 only.

No more collage classes since P3 in Yr 2011. Reason given was ‘lack of resources’.

heard from my dd that for p2, there’s only banding classes for chinese…maths n english, she’s not clear… as only one girl going for english n maths… but seems weird as she says that the ones going for the english n maths banding classes are the ones who are weak in those subjects… but for chinese, its those who are good in chinese?
