When it comes to activities, we enjoy the white water rafting. Suitable for kids from 8 years old or so. My boys loved it! We did lots of watersports too. My kids had so much fun that they felt that the 4 days we had there last year was too short!

just wan to check is the watersports activities are suitable for kids fm age 4~8? which area of hotel is more for family trip? i don like crowded area like Kuta even its convinient for shop & eat....

We were at Nusa Dua area for the water sports. I think 4 is definitely too young for watersports. By watersports i mean banana boat, flying fish, jet scooter etc. Even at 8, it depends on how comfortable your kids are with water to try the watersports. But 8yo I think can try the white water rafting. That is at the Ayung river in Ubud.

As mentioned in my earlier post, i don't like Kuta. With family, I like Nusa Dua even if it is more \"fake\" but it is clean with 5 star resorts which I know is safe to leave my kids at the kids club. I'll only leave my kids in kids club at 5-star international chain hotels. We were staying at Westin last year. if it is just DH and I, i favour Ubud. So far in Bali, i have stayed at Westin Nusa Dua, Conrad near Nusa Dua, Intercontinental at Jimbaran and Alila at Ubud.

The water theme park http://www.waterbom-bali.com/ is also great fun for the kids. As most of the rides are water based, most people basically go around the different rides in their swim wear.

We have booked the Swiss-Belhotel at Nusa Dua for next mth trip. Any feedback about this hotel?

              We are an extended family, 4 adults + 6 seniors (age 60-65) + 3 kids age 2,4 & 9.

Now trying to locate local tour guide for the trip.... šŸ˜“

              My draft itinerary as follows:

Day 1 reach at 6.30pm, maybe just stay hotel for rest or spa/massage as hotel located at Nusa dua, not Kuta. Any shopping nearby that open till late hr? Safe to walk around?

Day 2 maybe Uluwatu, Bedugul, Jimbaran dinner. Where else?

Day 3 maybe water activities such as dolphin watching, glass bottom boat and snorkelling

Day 4 Tanah Lot? Ubud? where is the best place to shop around (not the art craft..hehe).

              Day 5, morning flight.

Thanks for your input and appreciate your help

There are plenty of restaurants within waking distance from the villa. Pretty good location I wld say. Seminyak is a better area to stay compared to kuta as the traffic there is terrible. But do book early for the villa cos it is very popular with tourists. U can check out the review on tripadvisor

Hi all ,i will be going with my big family to Bali in June for 6 days.

I am still deciding where to stay, either Seminyak or Ubud.My main purpose is shopping, sight seeing and kids having fun.

Should I stay 3 days in Seminyak and 3 days in Ubud ? Or should I just stay all 6 days in Ubud ?

Is 6 days more than enough or should i cut short my holiday ?

Anything that shouldnt be missed there ?
