There are plenty of restaurants within waking distance from the villa. Pretty good location I wld say. Seminyak is a better area to stay compared to kuta as the traffic there is terrible. But do book early for the villa cos it is very popular with tourists. U can check out the review on tripadvisor

Hi all ,i will be going with my big family to Bali in June for 6 days.

I am still deciding where to stay, either Seminyak or Ubud.My main purpose is shopping, sight seeing and kids having fun.

Should I stay 3 days in Seminyak and 3 days in Ubud ? Or should I just stay all 6 days in Ubud ?

Is 6 days more than enough or should i cut short my holiday ?

Anything that shouldnt be missed there ?

I’m just back last Wed, indeed a nice place to visit. We love the turtle island, snorkelling, Kintamani tour, Jimbaran sunset view. But the food there so so only…We did tried the recommended Crispy chicken, Dirty duck but we found it too dry for us.

We stay at Ramayana Hotel Kuta, surrounding by shops, my parent love the convenience of the hotel location. Spa at hotel expensive (IDR 328k for 1 hr) but atmosphere nice, we tried the Bali Orchid Spa, much better and charged IDR 300k for 2 hrs.

So far we’ve been to Bali twice and stayed at Grand Hyatt (1st trip) and Courtyard Marriott (2nd trip) in Nusa Dua where the beaches are private and sand is finer. It is a gated community and security is better. The nice places to eat are found in hip Seminyak eg La Luciola, Ultimo, Mantis, Ku De Ta etc. For cheap places, Naughty Nuri’s is well-known for their babyback ribs. You should try the Rock Bar (Ayana Resort on Jimbaran) and queue early to get in. Ubud is nice to visit for art galleries and Teglalang for rice terraces. I won’t be back to Bali until they finished building the underpass though, because the traffic has built up a lot since the Eat-Pray-Love movie. Sigh.

Just tried Quest Kuta Central with playground and swimming pool (adult and kids), clean, spacious room and quiet surrounding for those who don like the crowd @ Kuta.

Its too far fm Kuta beach/ Shopping area, but shuttle bus service will be provided.
Free wifi in the room. Nice breakfst.

The most i hate is Turtle Island. We’ve been threaten to buy drink and donate U$ by the worker/guide there by giving us such a fierce attitute. He wont release us unless we donate $. Make my Bali trip disappointed after this visit.

I found this is not turtle island, infact its just a TURTLE farm which located in a short distance fm jetty(by using speed boat) to visit. And @ d end, pay more to visit such a small farm. Not worth to go… unlesss really be prepared to pay extra cost for this visit!!! I 100% wont go anymore!!!

shopping oni Discovery Mall can shop.
If you like relax… go Ubud…if wan shop… is Kuta but is crowded with angmos and tourist…

                        hi novena,

too bad they gave u this kind of service at Turtle island, maybe we are lucky, no forcing at all, just me make a donation in IDR…I forgot how much but should be less than IDR 10k or 20k. We just on the way there after snorkelling…
