DSA 2012

My boy doesnโt go for any tuition and has no outstanding academic award e.g SMOPS as he has never been trained that way. Just got his P6 SA1 result, 3A*/1A: Math 98, science 97, CL 92, English 86. He isnโt a GEPer either. P4 SA2 4A*, P5 2A*/2A. He is one of the key players in school badminton team, the team won 2 times champions at inter-primary school tournament, 4th place in national tournament.
Based on his SA1 result, any chance for DSA RI through academic? -
I heard a rumour that Temasek requires you to have a mother tongue. Is that really so?

What a day after running DSA open house. It was quite amusing to see how the principals referred other schools.
But NYGH's girls are really impressive. -
Does anyone have information on the RGS GAT?

Both principals try to differentiate their schools. RGS principal downplayed RG's competitiveness, instead she emphasized more on learning environment which allows one to stretch to fullest potential, the example of baby cheetah was a good one.ruohoo97:

NYGH's principal mentioned \"Feng Sui\" and Chinese culture, something we all know that of advantages over the counterpart . What impressed me most was NYGH's students speakers to showcase their experience in NYGH. Their confident, natural composer and eloquent, well delivered speeches were even outshine their principal's and VP's
We also went to SCGS, the principal said SCGS had produced more president scholars over the years than the school up the road and school down the road,
Really competitive ! -
I was at RGS, NYGH and SCGS open houses yesterday too. All three schools got their students/alumni to share their school experiences. NYGH girls spoke very well but this is very likely due to their preparedness. I personally find their speeches too polished. RGS studentโs speech was not polished and that student was not even a student leader. I am impressed that RGS is not even showcasing her best student. SCGS has showcased her top student/alumus too.
