I know of someone, drunk, drove a van on the opposite direction meant for one way and killed a young new driver. He was jailed for 3 years and suspended for driving for a certain period (can’t remember).

Yes the wife has already apologized BUT is her choice of using weibo to make the apology has left many to wonder why?
Is not that they are not planning to just hide and do not compensate as the wife said they will wait for the accident report before taking the next step.
People have been saying why now not earlier did the apology came, have u all thought of it, shes also grieving she lost the love of her life, she has a young child moreover shes still pregnant definitely she cannot go to the funeral of the other victims as a Chinese sort of xi shu.
Even if she goes how sure can she be there will not be anyone berating her and her living family at the other victims wake look at the outburst on the internet towards them. They must have their fears, it might be late at least they apology came.[/quote]Samsung phones and LG 垃圾 phones are made in Shenzhen. You need the address ? -

This accident has made me more cautious when crossing the road. Because of this accident, i escaped twice on last weekend, on the same day. I was at a two lanes road, waiting for green man to cross the road. Red light on, the cars at the lane near my side have stopped. The other lane, I saw a car coming but no sign of stoping. True enough, the Malaysian car dashed the red light. One cyclist who crossed the road immediately when green man was lighted, nearly got knocked by the car. I saw the cyclist emergency brake, the dased red light Malaysia car emergency switch lane after dashed pass the red light to avoid the cyclist, or else, an accident would have haspen right in front of me.
Then further up, about 15 mins walk, i was at the zebra crossing. Again two lanes road, the lorry at the lane near to my side stopped for me to cross. Behind the lorry, there were 2 cars stopped behind it. I did not cross as i saw at the other lane, a white car was approaching. In my heart, i was telling myself, better to wait for the white car to stop first. But it did not stop! It zoom pass the zebra crossing. The lorry who had stop, saw the white car approaching of no intention to slow down, made a long horn to alert, but the white car just ignored. If i have crossed the road, i would definately be knocked down by the white car.
Conclusion, pedestrains, please ensure all the cars have stopped before crossing. Regardless if it at traffic light or zebra crossing. Don’t start crossing when red mn just turn green, make sure after green man, all the cars have stopped then cross.
To all car drivers, please slow down when you are approaching traffic lights and zebra crossing. Regardless if it is green light or nobody is crossing the zebra crossing. -
wan bao reporter went to the same accident spot a few days ago and noted that within a span of 3 hours, 6 cars beat the red lights in the early morning hours. obviously some drivers never learn their lessons :slapshead:
-
People said this same accident spot is "haunted" - quite a number of accidents happened before in the past.
so those drivers want to beat traffic light in the early morning hour(s), bear consequences lor. This type of "thing" usually appear after past midnight, when the road is quiet. This "thing" welcome beckoning them, "Come, Come, Come. Come and … speed" -

PRC national and Singapore PR offered to sponsor education of children of late cabby Cheng Teck Hock
Besides Singaporeans, foreigners and PRs have also offered assistance and support, including a CEO from China, forty year old Mr Sima of Pan Asia Energy Group.
In an interview with the media, a private secretary of Mr Sima revealed that he arrived in Singapore from Beijing three years ago and is currently a Singapore PR.
“He is very concerned about the accident and when he knew the cabby’s family is in financial distress, he felt he should do his part,” the secretary said.
Together with another PR, Mr Sima offered to sponsor the living and education expenses of the children of Mr Cheng.
Mr Cheng’s eldest daughter Stephanie Cheng has just graduated from a local polytechnic and may be putting her plans to enrol in a university on hold because of the family tragedy.
