psle2011mum:
Thanks fifiyeo and znzyzyzx.
How about a smaller and cheaper washing machine just to wash the floor cloth? I am actually contemplating that because the number of floor cloth that I use concurrently and the frequency I change them make them quite a chore to hand wash.znzyzyzx:
I am loathe to throw the floor cloths into the washing machine (I think that my helper did this previously but then, I was too busy to bother), so we have been using these orange floor cloths (looks like the Shamwow cloths which are being promoted at the supermarkets) which are smaller, thinner and easier to hand wash. When it gets too grubby or dirty, I throw them out. Issue is - they don't look nice at all and all my \"better\" floor mats are sitting in the storeroom un-used.
Any suggestions for a more pleasant looking solution which I can still wash without using the machine?
Fifiyeo, would like to run more cycles but dear hubs (while I was busy with the PSLE last year) chose an Italian brand washing machine where my normal cycle is 85 minutes :yikes: It's also one of those that can wash all kinds of delicates with multiple programmes ...so I'm still trying to figure it out...
Znzyzyzx - House has no more space for a washing machine -- in fact one of the reasons which compelled me to go maidless was that I could then convert the helper's room into a store room. There isn't this absolutely tiny table top washing machine out in the market is there?
psle2011mum, mine also Italian brand that runs forever during normal cycle. What I do is manually use mine. Select temperature to hottest, then select mode to load in water and add dettol to spin a little then rinse it off. -
Hi, sorry this thread is too long to search, but any advice on dish washer? Wish to get one to make cooking less tedious… Is a "single drawer" size enough for a 4 pax family (incl. all the pots and pans for cooking)? Is it also necessary to get good brands like Electrolux or Bosch? Saw some Elba ones more affordable but worry about breaking down and also there are no half load options…

Hi micollh, agree, iclebo is working well so far.. it can even mop.. past 2 weeks after maid left, i haven touch broom/mop.. and it's clean ! and i use handheld vacuum for anything visible to me on floor..
washing machines i wash 3 times a week.. just started dryer. today another load for kids uniforms and towels and bedsheet.
undies still ownself wash.. kids n hubby undies all washing machines.. but kids and adult clothes i wash separately as i dun use softerner for kids' clothing. i soak their white uniform one night before i throw into washing machines..

Thanks for this fifyeo... sigh, need to call that sales lady again... took me forever to figure the manual out but if this can be done, then it's great! Thanks again :salute: -

You are welcome.
Yes, do call them. There must be some buttons to load water, spin and drain out. Since we want to do a really short cycle, then will have to do it manually.
Good Luck! -

Yes, it has this microfiber cloth that can stick on the iclebo to do mopping, but u need to manually wet this cloth and stick on it to start the mop function

Hi Micollh,
Do u use any floor detergent with the microfiber cloth? Also, how many times do u need to re-wet the cloth to mop the whole house? Am waiting for the new model to arrive at our shore

Hi,
Anyone bought things from outlet.com.sg before? Are they reliable?
They have are selling the 360° Rotating Spin Dry Mop (includes 1 Bucket, 3 Mop Heads and 1 Pole) for only $33.
http://www.outlet.com.sg/thedeal/view/index/id/1857/
I like the design because it looks like the water won't splash when it spins.
Worth trying?
TIA
