Mayflower Primary

My child will be having Story Telling class tomorrow. It’s a 6 lesson course for them to enrich themselves after sch. As there wasn’t much choice to choose from, i guess this course might be interesting for my kid. Fees payable $60. 2 hrs ea session.
Helps to develop public speaking skills. Overcome and build confidence. -
Another issue i would like to highlight about the PE attire. The blue shorts has only ONE pocket at the back. It fits a wallet. There’s no other pockets for tissue paper or handkerchief. So my child practically uses the sleeves to clean off sweats…sigh.

My boys too.... *sigh* -
My kid just completed his final paper in P2. Looking forward to the holidays. Had also received my kid’s test papers for parent acknowledgement. I can’t help wondering, what are the difficulty levels for these Mayflower test papers as compare to other schools? Moderate and substantial? or Easy and lack challenge?
The school has this Home learning base program whereby kids do their homework on computer and submit online.
Take note, during holidays, kids tend to put on weight. The uniform will "somehow" seem very tight when school re-opens. Ha…
Was hoping the school to conduct some additional activities during the holidays to enrich their own students. Only to find a leaflet of enrichment courses conducted by Punggol CC given to him by the school. Haiz…
So it’s up to the parents to schedule for their kids. Otherwise it will be a TV, Eat and Sleep routine ! -
Hi All parent,
Its nice reading this forum and getting your feedback.
Its my turn now to chose which primary school to choose for my child. I heard a lot of plus points for this school. But i like to hear the negative point as well so as to be better prepared.
Except the stairs, any other negative points to share?
I will also enrol my child in the after school care centre in Pro-teach, anybody have anything to share about this centre? Or any other better centre? -
Hi there!
I understand there is no in-house after school care at Mayflower PS. Does anyone know where is the nearest after school care centre?
As both of us (parents) are working, I wonder if it is possible to have someone from the centre to bring the child from school to the centre aftre school?
Thanks!

Hi all,
This forum seem to be very quiet compared to the super active Teck Ghee primary forum. I am keen to find out more about these 2 schools.
Anyone care to share the main differences in these 2 schools when they were researching for P1 reg for their DD or DS?
Hi Patricklim80, did you manage to get more information? if so, care to share:)
Many thanks! -
Dahlia,
I think in AMK, the schools with in-house student care are Townsville and Jing Shan primary. In-house student care more convenient in wet weather. I think the nearest student care for Mayflower is in Kebun Bahru CC. I am going for Teck Ghee as the student care is at a nearby void deck with sheltered walkway from school back gate.
I think each sch n student care has their own focus. -
hi Ninjago,
thanks for sharing! -
Coming his Friday, my child in P2 will be having Swimming Lessons as PE. Let’s hope they learn and have fun.
