On the booing thingy, during nomination day, Pritam reminded the supporters not to boo at the PAP. So i feel that the WP MP also made a conscious effort to discourage supporters from doing that.

However, knowing WP’s supporters, they are such a passionate bunch of people. They are not control by "remote control" so they have their own emotions and thinking. In addition, they are very expressive people. Just look at how they cheered. They were not "ordered" to cheer. So somehow, there must be a reason why they booed. Maybe to them, all these are up for show and they do not sense any sincerity at all. I suppose only if you are in their shoes then can you understand.

I’ve only been staying in the area for 3-4 years. Have yet to speak to LTK or YSL personally. Heard from fil that they did come by when we were out. Like the other HG resident forumner… they just press the door bell themselves.

On DC, based on what was heard in the rally, his uncle was also one of the ex-MPs who did something wrong… Sometimes you wonder if due to this uncle, he was being "selected" to take on such challenging tasks rather than being helicopter in. Think again… is TPL better than him???

ok anyone can clarify for me mei hwan drive under which grc pls thanks

If I am not wrong, it should be under Aljunied GRC now. However , I believe 4 years down the road , nearer to GE2016, it may change ward due to new electoral map. :rotflmao:

:rotflmao: and we always discovered we have suddenly shifted somewhere else without moving the furniture..

i'm pretty sure Mei Hwan Dr is in Serangoon Gardens estate under Aljunied GRC..

seems to remember last time when they wanted to build FW dorm on the edge of the estate, MP Lee Hwee Hwa was the one who informed the residents.. ?

Do you know that Charming Gardens, one km from NYPS, is actually Tanjong Pagar while Farrer is bukit timah and RGPS is more mean (Moulmein), or "no face" ?

anyway this is 2012 and the world is getting surreal !

There r indeed some gud MIWs.
n these r warmly remembered by residents of their ward
n get voted in on their own merit.

here, I agree again, yes there are some really good MIW MPs for sure. But their hands are tied when in parliament, aren't they ?

tied with the WHIP? 😆

Personally, I do not think people should boo at the party that they do not support. Due respect should be given to those who campaigned and put themselves up to serve the people.

However, 😉 , I'd think this is nothing compared to the smears from MSM. The vocab by the people on the streets is more limited to compared to the educated people in MSM. MIW should reflect. Asking people they should or should not do this and that is one thing. If MIW is not getting the message from the one word of \"boo\", then the worse may be yet to come.

Read that lianhe zaobao chief editor responded to LTK’s remarks.

Hopefully it will not be blown out of proportion.

At least, they should realise that such tactics aren't as effective as before..
