As for me, I have stepped down as VC of my RC for the new term due to heavy commitments from my kids but I remain as EM to help in areas within my means.

But my Chairman knows who are eligible for P1 online because he can check with the CO when that member is being confirmed. Or those need ‘letters’. Anyway, the person himself will blurt out one lah…

If you are eligible, you will be able to register online and wait for the letter.

The system is rather smart. If one don't meet the one-year in service, there is no option to apply for endorsement letter at \"Online Services\" tab.

You are so lucky can step down as office bearer. Some can't due to no suitable people or no new blood joins RC

I’m a newbie here. My gg will be registering for P1 in 2013. I want to boost my chances by becoming an active community leader. I have some questions though.

Am I late to join the CSC or CCC or RC etc.? Which committee gives me the best chance before registration in 2013?

By joining the CSC, CCC or RC, does it mean I’ll be limited to using the letter to register for schools in the same GRC/SMC I live in? Meaning, does it go by Planning Area as in MOE website or GRC/SMC as per Election Boundary?

Can I join a GRC/SMC if my target school is not in the same GRC/SMC I live in?

Lastly, how many choices for primary schools do I have in P2B and P2C? Must they be the same? Can they be different between P2B and P2C?

With the priority given to SCs from this year onwards, will be interesting to see how the balloting pans out.

Sorry to say, you are too late to go via active GRL route.

From this year, Sporeans will enjoy priority over PRs in P2B and 2C, so chances are higher, esp. if you stays within 1km.

one of the RC members has been confirmed August 2011. Somehow that person told us that she is qualified via online phase 2B last week. Is there possibility that Constituency Director ‘back-dated’ the application? What kind of evidence can we gather and report to PA head office for practising such unprofessional conduct.

I doubt so. You need to ascertain the facts first. What is the date stated on his EM appointment letter? It could be that he/she was informed in Aug 11 on the status but the confirmed date was before 30 Jun 11. Is he holding any exec appt currently?
