split:
You get to enjoy phase 2A for 2 schools. However, you have to consider some factors:Need some advise here, my son was born on 2007 and now im thinking of which sch to place him in, im currently staying at yishun;
Jiemin pri - phase 2a as hb is ex-student
northland < 1km
Xinmin pri - phase 2a as im ex-student > 1km from my mum place
Hougang primary < 1km from my mum place
move house to other location, as hb and i have intention to change into a bigger house since we got 3 kids
1)is the school in morning or afternoon session?
2) supposing morn session, is the school far from your mum's place if she looks after?
3) do you plan to put your son in before/after school care? -
Hi, can anyone advise me what is the ranking of Canberra Primary Sch as I was intending to send my girl who is going into P1 next year?

Hi parents,
Please share what do you consider when choose a primary school. -

1. Brand NameHi parents,
Please share what do you consider when choose a primary school.
2. Distance (preferably not more than 5km away)
3. Mission school or not (if Christian)
4. Same gender or co-ed (I prefer same gender)
5. Affiliation to secondary school (safety net)
6. How tough is the competition to get in (balloting stress)
7. SAP school or not (compulsory Higher Chinese)
8. Availability of certain CCAs (depends on which sport your kid is good at) -
My order would be … 5, 6, 4, 2. If the end result consists of 1, it’s a bonus!

Hi my dd will be entering p1 in 2013, coincidentally my area (fernvale) has a new pri sch (sengkang green) starting 2013.
My 1st choice is nan chiau, but history trend till 2010 says for 2c ballot within 1 click. I'm 1.2km away
Unless 2011 results shows otherwise after the implementation of singaporeans 1st.
So I left with Fernvale pri within 1 km or the new (sengkang green) jus a street away.
Pls advise should I enroll in the new sch or Fernvale pri (history of abt 7 yrs)
Any ideal how to check who will be the principal of the new school? -
hi im a newbie. My son is going to p1 next year. we live at lor chuan. we are pr’s. we would like to send him to a coed school and was set on Yang Zheng until the new MOE ruling sets in recently.
i am old girl of Bukit Panjang Primary School but the distance is a major problem and uprooting the whole family is not feasible.
Should I get a spot for him in bpes in phase 2a2, commute for couple of months and canvass for a spot in YZ during that time?
Or should i risk and see if i can get him in via phase 2c for YZ? -

You need to think carefully. Not a joke to travel from Lor Chuan to BP. I have friends who gave up phase 2A n go for phase 2C cos of distance. Of course, you need to have a school for 2Csupp as backup. -
Yes definitely need backup plan…but you can ask around and see if YZ is popular, the more popular it is, the more backup plans you need.
