they do roadshows from time to time. Fairly sure that panpac asia is at suntec bookfair also.

I love this series too much not to recommend again. There are 3 books in this series. Compilation of short stories about this boy and his classmates in Primary 1 and then Primary 2. Stories are very witty and funny. Second time ever DS1 bugs me bigtime to read to him every night.

　　小豆豆不喜欢他的同桌黄美美。因为不喜欢黄美美，黄豆豆甚至都不想姓黄了。小豆豆又给黄美美取了个外号,叫“小喇叭”。
　　这不，“小喇叭”又开始广播了。
　　“报告老师，黄豆豆上课不好好儿听讲，他吃东西呢！”黄美美又举起手来，这已经是她这节课第三次举手了。
　　“谁说我吃东西了！你看看，你看看，我嘴里面除了牙和舌头还有别的吗？”小豆豆不服气地说。为了证明自己确实没吃东西，小豆豆张大嘴，把舌头像夏天的狗一样伸得长长的。
　　“都坐下，吵什么吵！黄美美，你管好你自己就行了，别老管别人的事。”张老师已经被黄美美告状告烦了。
　　小豆豆和黄美美像两个大沙袋，扑通一下都坐下了。
　　田大壮在后面使劲蹬了蹬小豆豆的椅子，幸灾乐祸地笑。
　　没过多久，黄美美又站了起来：“报告老师，黄豆豆和田大壮不好好儿画画，他们一直在偷偷地笑呢！”
　　张老师的眉头拧成个大疙瘩，她沉下脸来说：“黄美美，你怎么知道黄豆豆和田大壮不好好儿画画呢？”
　　黄美美理直气壮地说：“当然看到了，我一直在盯着他们呢！”
　　“黄美美，你一直盯着黄豆豆他们，那你也没好好儿画画啊！”张老师的语气有点儿严厉起来。
　　同学们都笑了起来。小豆豆也偷偷地笑了：看，搬起石头砸自己的脚了吧。
　　过了一会儿，教导处高主任在门口向张老师招手。
　　张老师一走开，大家就全放松了。田大壮跑到小豆豆的旁边，两个人一起画起画来。小豆豆画的是孙悟空，田大壮画的是白骨精。
　　过了好半天，张老师也没回来。她还在门外和教导主任谈话呢。黄美美等不及了，她跑到门外对张老师说：“报告老师，田大壮下座！”

i have got this, bought it at Berries during their yearly book fair. my 7 yr old DD is reading it too

When and where is Berries book fair being held? My DS goes to Berries but I am not aware of such book fairs.

my kids attend the berries at tampines mart, they do sent me letter telling me there is a book fair just outside their centre
maybe you can ask the teacher .i bought these last yr.

:thankyou: this is timely as I am planning to order some books from Dangdang.

DS borrowed this from his teacher. I found it interesting that there are 2 concurrent stories being told on each page and they eventually become 1 story when the two characters meet. The standard is also at a level suitable for him to read on his own.

By the way, hquek, do you find ordering direct from Dangdang or through Peeka better? I went through Peeka the last round. It was okay, but find paying twice a bit troublesome. On the other hand, the books came to me in better condition as compared to ordering direct from Dangdang. Still, I couldn't buy some DVDs through Peeka. Wonder if ordering direct from Dangdang would solve the issue? :scratchhead:

For the one I introduced, the author also has another series, 小朵朵. DS likes it but we feel it's not as good as the other one. If your child likes humourous stories, strongly encourage you to get all 3 books. there is hypy so it's easy to read.

Thanks for your recommendation. I'll see if there is an english version and if available in library. Already have a lot of picture type big books at home. must scrutinize to see if I really want to keep it.

All 3 meaning 小朵朵，一年纪的小豆豆 and 一年纪的小豆豆2？what about 二年纪的小豆豆？

On the book that I have mentioned earlier, think it is more suitable for young preschoolers.
