Dear Linlin,as yishun is the main branch which trains all the teachers,I wld say it shd b better…my girl started out at yishun where we were satisfied with the teachers & admin staff there…& as the school compound is bigger with many class rooms,thus there can be a few classes going on at same time,thus if u need to arrange for make-up lessons,it’s much easier also!!

I had to transfer my girl to Limbang due to changes in my work schedule but was very displeased with this branch as there are only 2 classrooms & very few teachers,thus hard to arrange make-up lessons if needed…worse! they are not able to start grading/intermediate class,thus my girl was stuck at foundation class for past 8mths!! I was so frustrated that I decided to switch my girl to Bt batok branch though it’s further & inconvenient!& bt batok branch was very surprised that my girl is still in foundation class!! They said as long as there r 3 students,they will open a new class!! I guess Limbang will only open a class if close to max capacity,for profit purposes!!

Anyway,if I not wrong,yishun fees is cheaper by $20-30 per term of 10lessons…due to cheaper rental…

But I have no comments on woodlands branch…Hope my info helps! I will pm u my girl’s details so u can have 8% discount when u register,ok?& appreciate if u can pm me your child’s details also,so that I also enjoy discount:) tks

May I ask how old is your daughter? My son was also in Foundation level for about a year. I actually thought that's normal b'coz i was told kids generally spend a longer time at foundation level compared to the other levels cos they needed to ensure the kids get their foundation right before moving further. Hope I wasn't being misled by the centre

However, i believe the older kids may need a shorter time in foundation level.

Hi, Maisy, my girl was already in foundation class in Yishun for ard 1year 3mths, before tranferring to LimBang…& if she did not transfer, her teacher at Yishun was already going to promote her to Intermediate/Grading class!!


But when I enquire at Limbang for available classes for Intermediate level, I was told that for Limbang, they work a bit ‘different’ from Yishun & the kids genenrally ‘stay longer’ at foundation class at Lim Bang, & I was told that ‘IT is ok’ for my girl to join their foundation class 1st…
but after getting ‘stuck’ at foundation class at Lim Bang for past 8 mths, I seriously think something is quite wrong & when I spoke to Bt Batok branch, I was told that my girl should have moved on to intermediate class quite long time ago!! I feel quite misled by LimBang!! I suspect it’s because they have not enough students to start new class for intermediate, thus the long delay!!
Besides that, I am not pleased with the fact that recently, Lim Bang finally can start new class for Intermediate, but I did feedback that if Sunday, we can only make it fm 2pm onwards, as my girl has another enrichment class till 1.15pm…During feedback with teacher, he was saying that new class is either 1+pm or 2+pm timing…but sadly, they chose to start new class at 1pm…maybe all other parents wanted 1pm, but as this class should have students from many other foundation class with different timings, I feel that centre should try to accomodate all students, esp they are aware that my girl is stuck at foundation with them for 8mths!!!
I feel that there is no genuine sincere concern for a student’s progress at all…
Maybe it’s just me who experience this…But I just want to caution other parents, to be more aware, & be careful with enrichment programes which are under franchise, coz sadly, sometimes, quality of classes, teachers etc, can vary a lot…this is not restricted to just CMA, but to all other enrichment classes…usu many franchise are very profit-driven…
