      musette:
      South View Primary - 4B , 1G
One of the boy is my nephew. 😄
He is the top scorer for the ICAS Science paper by New South Wales too.
He only has swimming and piano clases. And parents do not coach him at home at all, only when he has questions to ask them.
      IMHO, a gifted kid ! 😄

The teacher I talked to said there were fewer than 80 places left, so I think the number is most likely 20+.

                      Hi all

May I get feedback from some of you whose children were originally already studying the schools offering GEP? Did the school provide additional training to your children when they were due to sit for the GEP assessment?

                      Thanks.

Don't have. I don't know anyone who has gone for outside training either. The only place where I keep hearing of training is here on kiasuparents. If it's so effective, then GEP will be populated by rich people or people who don't mind throwing out $$$, but I don't get the sense at all.

BUT, if its true that, as one of the parents implied, a proportion of the 26 kids from a certain top girls' school were trained and were therefore successful in getting in, then we will see (even?) more trained kids going forward.

Wish I had access to the training school's records, just to satisfy my own curiousity :).
