Mine too enjoyed the singing parts n will sway her body. She will sit down still throughtout the whole show. Not all educational DVD she likes, she has her own preference. Unlike my dd1, will sit still throughout any show I played.

Y r fortunate to hv yr mom to look after yr ds. My mom n in-laws were unable to take care of my dd2 and therefore put her in IFC when I was abt to return to work. She was not being well taken care of due to overwhelming of babies in the ctr when I put her in. Everyday was a torture to me after sending her off and hence made my decision of quitting my job and become SAHM. Moreover my dd1 was going to P1 and need someone to guide her and be around at hm as she was in PM session this yr. Till now still miss those working days. At least able to mingle with people and financially independent. Nevertheless, i hv no regret.....

      Hi Ectanz,
Yes, I consider myself very fortunate. My mom was a great help especially when my DS was hospitalized and we took turn to accompany him in the ward, she really took good care of him...can't expect more...and I really appreciate her help, and felt that it was then I understand her hardship bringing up a kid (the 'kid' being me)... only problem is her volcano eruption (the volcano here refers to her temper and her super natural 'nagging power' and blah blah blah....I dun want to bored you with all the details, so...here's the summary, she had a big fight with my DH and went back home, sigh... (she was staying with me previously), so now I send my DS to her place every morning and then to work...good news is DS is almost 18mths and I will be sending him to CC soon....dun need to wake up 0530hrs every morning :snooze: ...counting down...

Previously my dd1 was taken care by my MIL till she was around 5 yo. Really 有苦难言。 she is very stubborn and refused to take any suggestion or opinion. She insisted on her own way. At that time, my dd1 was really severely under-weight, not even 7kg when she was 10mo. Her pediatrician advised to consume more frequent feed in milk and solid foods. But my MIL insisted that drinking milk not as gd as porridge. Her porridge contained of liver, intestine, all funny things which my dd1 didn't like to eat n MIL has difficulty of feeding her. Same porridge for 3 times a day. At that time, my dd1 really 抗拒 of eating porridge. Dh told her many times but refused to listen. Although I hv tough time of looking after dd2 myself but as least I'm totally in- charge without MIL intervention.

My dd2 will be going to Kindergarten next Jan. Hopefully she is ready toilet trained by then :xedfingers:

Sigh...家家有本难念的经...my mom has her share of stubbornness, DS was coughing for some time, told mom not to give him any cold stuff, she gave him ice kacang behind my back, I din know it till he threw up with the jelly stuff and when I asked mom, her answer was 'oh...I eat ice kacang and he wants it mah, so I only gave him some red bean lor', then I said 'but these are not red bean that he threw out!' she just commented that 'oh, I just gave him some of the ice kacang stuff' :stupid: her excuse was 'he wants it wat, cry if I dun give'...and give him banana which I told her the last time when he cough not to give, this time round she said 'he go and get it himself, and b4 I knew it, he was already eating it, and since he is already eating it, if I take it away from him, then he will cry.... plus you said not to give the last time he cough, but never said this time mah!' :slapshead: ...dun get me started with her choice of food for DS when she is out...sigh....but she is ok if she dun go out and stay at home cook for my DS.(home cooking is always the best, except the part where I ask her not to add any seasoning to DS's diet and her reply was tasteless, how to expect her to eat

Good for you! though you have hard time looking after your DD2(which I can image) but at least MIL is out of the way, even if her intention is good, but unless she sees her problem, else, it's your DD's suffering...

Wow, you already started toilet training your DD2? I thought of toilet training DS but think it's a bit tough to do it only during weekend, so just thinking, haven't start yet...any tips & tricks to share? like how to start?

Hi Ymon, not yet but trying…my greatest dread is to toilet training. Previously my dd1 I believe MIL did train her when she was less than 1 yo, she can go witnout wearing diaper when she was 18mo n totally off diaper (even night time) when she was 2yo. However I heard fr my friend that can try to let them wear training pant. It is waterproof ( not too sure whether inside or outside) but it’s avoid messiness. Maybe will buy n try out…

            Hi Ectanz,
Your DD1 so smart, can go w/o diaper so soon, my fren's DD is already 3+yo but still very dependent on diaper. Pls share after you try...Thanks in advance!

Ya, agreed my dd1 indeed very \"advance\" in term of toilet training n hence really save alot on diaper. As for my dd2, I think will not be as advance as her sister. Do already then juz pull her diaper n will nod her head if I ask her whether she passed Mxxxxx in her diaper. My friend will pass her son's training pants to me. According to her this training pant is unisex. Will try n share with u....
