      Hi,

My dd who is 9 years old is very eager to try out the revenge of the mummy ride in UNiversal studio Singapore.

Have any of your kids, about the same age as my DD gone for this ride before?

      Did they manage ok?

My DD is the eager beaver while I am unsure about letting her go for the ride.

Feedback if any is very much appreciated. 🙂

      Many thanks in advance!

Both my DS 10 and his cousin 12 yrs old, didnt try the ride.

I tried. It wasn’t so scary as it was a really short ride.

My DS did the ride when he was 8. There are sudden jerks, stops and and can seem pretty scary if one is not use to roller coaster rides in the dark. We did the ride twice and DS was okay with it.. ..Perhaps kinda brief her before the ride.. 😄

My 9 & 12 were ok but not for hubby & me 😢 , especially me as it was dark & you just can't anticipate what is next to come & when the final steep \"fall\" came, I was so terrified but maybe that's me, just faint hearted 😂 😂 . Hubby didn't like the total darkness.

DS tried it and he didn’t like it. It was scary for him. In term of darkness, fire and he said, also the speed.

He is fine with other roller coaster rides for kiddos. Near the castle and the lost world.

Oh our whole family tried it recently. My ds 9 yrs old and dd 11 yrs old. All of us love it very much and had a 2nd ride. To us, it was not scary at all. 😛 Just like watching a 4D movies with all the car ride movement. It’s look so real (we sit in the front roll) Very fun. kekekekeke…

My girl is 6+ going 7. She tried and liked it v much and kept asking to take it again. Think it depends on the character of the kid lah…if he/she is those that like to take challenges, can give it a go lor…just brief them of what to expect and if they get scared during the ride, just tell them to close their eyes…over in a short while.

Dear all, thanks for all your valuable feedback.

I just came back from Universal studios Singapore, and I am back on this forum to share.

Do you know what ... ? I spent my whole night worrying and weighing if I should let my 9 year old DD take the mummy ride, and ... just now, at USS itself, my dear daughter and her uncle (my brother) decided to take on the The Battlestar Galactica: Human vs Cylon rollercoaster. She took the Cylon with him! I was totally over-ruled because even my DH also egged them on! I kept protesting, but they all ignored me. Grr ... :stupid:

While waiting for her to complete her ride, I was in total jitters! I kept asking myself why did I ever let her do this. I must be crazy .... blar bar blar. :nailbite: 😓 :xedfingers:

Well, after the ride, my brother (in his er hmm ... mid 30s) emerged looking quite green and pale. My DD on the other hand looked like she just had her best fun ever. If she did have a scare, she concealed well. Maybe she felt jelly inside, but wanted to put up a brave front. The truth .. well, I guess I'll not find out any time soon as I doubt she'll come clean.

As all of you would probably expect, since she survived the Cylon, there is no point in stopping her for the revenge of the mummy ride. Yup, she took it and proudly declared to me that she didn't screamed a single bit (maybe wanted to ''show off'' to me how brave she was lah ... kids). Only to poke me and said, \"but mummy, i noticed you screamed really loud ... i think you were the only one who really screamed''.
