        Hi,

Can someone help with this Q5, the answer key for "undaunted" is "unfazed" but why not "unflinching" ? Thanks.

        Q5. undaunted
        unfazed
        uncertain
        unresolved
        unflinching

I was on tenterhooks even before the race began. My (1) nervousness was obvious to those around me. My heart was pounding so quickly I was sure it was (2) loud and clear from a distance. The doctor had reminded me that taking part in the competition would mean a (3) worsening of my condition but I was adamant to represent my school in the race as it was my only chance. When I heard the starter gun, I took off like a deer pursued by its hound. Then what the doctor feared most happened; my kneecap (4) yielded to the pressure. "No, please, no!" I cried to myself. The gnawing pain grew. Me legs weakened and I collapsed. When I came to, I was unable to walk and my movement was restricted. However, I was (5) undaunted.

It shud be (3) was coz no one was is the same as wasn't. So wasn't opposite is was.
