hi, i am enrolling my kid for Pr 1 next yr and wondering if anybody know if dazhong primary/ princess elizabeth/st anthony is good?

I am enrolling my daughter for Pr1 next year and we are in 1km from Dazhong, Linhua and st Anthony. As we are not catholic I am more interested in Dazhong and Linhua, but have found very few info on those 2 schools on the forum. Has anyone some experience with those school to share?

          Hi there,
FYI, st Anthony will be relocating to ex dazhong site at jurong east from next year onwards for 2 yrs. If u r interested to register with them, the distance used for purpose of registration is still the bukit batok site.

For lianhua pri, they will be having an open house on 30 June. U may want to pop down to take a look.http://www.lianhuapri.moe.edu.sg/

For da zhong, besides boosting of a new building n facilities, their difference over lianhua would be that dazhong has a brass band if cca is one of your considerations.

Seems like dazhong open house on the same day too! http://www.dazhongpri.moe.edu.sg/calendar.php

DS is in P1, Keming, this year. So, no stress for him yet. Just asked him whether he liked the school, he said \"quite a lot\".

CCA listing can be found on the school website. DS is taking floorball this year. External coach is engaged, if I'm not wrong. Teachers and environment are ok. P1 class is mixed ability, so I can't comment / demand much.

If I don't inform the school when DS is absent from school, the school admin will call to check on that day itself. Not sure whether this is the practice of other schools. Initially, I did feel \"stress\"....

The question on whether children can cope with afternoon class depends very much on individual child. DS quits napping since very young, doesn't wake up \"very\" early . So, he fits into afternoon session well.

As the weather has been very hot towards the end of Term 2, the school is very kind to allow children to wear PE attire to school, even on non-PE days. Not sure it still applies for Term 3. Think girls may feel hot in their uniforms.

Anyway, think Keming will be in single session from 2014. An annex block is being built currently.

                    2011 phase 2C

                    Bukit Batok:
Keming, Princess Elizabeth, St Anthony required balloting.

the rest: no ballot, walk in direct.

Looking at it another way, this is a good thing.
It shows that the school is concern, and wants to make sure nothing happened to the student while he was on his way to school.
