For the past 2 weeks, I have asked son MANY times if he had completed holiday assignments. He told me YES, as usual...and as usual, he hasn't. Just 1/2 hour ago, he realized he hasn't completed and asked for help

Caned him for lack of responsibility. Boiling mad now :spank:

I told my younger one to pack her school bag earlier. She got it done. My son entertains me by 1) telling me ok, 2) dumping his books inside without making sure those are correct ones. 3) coming to my room to find his file :faint:

Hi Janet, fully understand how you feel as my DS also the same. 😢 I used to get so  that I threw his school books & bag on the floor. I actually wanted to throw them away but later need to buy new one really 心痛 & some more those written worksheets cannot purchase anywhere, so I can only threw them on the floor loh. my DS cried & was guai guai for a few months. I find that it's really tiring to have this type of drama now and then. It's bad for my health & does not improve our relationship so now I keep my cool. :imcool:

Just 2 weeks ago asked him finished his homework, he said yes, so I let him be. Last week asked him again, he said yes again. Then one fine day just before school reopen, I happened to see his stuffs, kapo & do a check.... Then realized he din do one homework. I got no strength to get angry so just get him to do it immediately. :faint:

It’s 50 days more to go before PSLE orals.

I dread to cross out day after day. Where school work is concerned, I am hands off now, but he has to get the tutors’ work done. My schedule for him now is very tight.

Our energy, both mental and physical is precious. So we have to save it to last for the next 3 months. Run too fast, we will lose our breath. Don’t take any Brands essence…weather too hot.

Remind him that his dream school is ACS(I). Don't forget to put a photo of ACS(I) right in front of his writing desk. I am sure that he has been to the Open House or at least view the school before. Ask him to Jia You & he will get closer to his dream school. All the best!

He is too tired to think of dream school now. Everyday after school, he knocks out after lunch and refuses to get up 😓 wonder what he is doing in school everyday. Is it productive to attend school?

All the PSLE parents, jiayou!! Do show your P6 kids that they have your full support whatever the results may be. With less anxiety-filled nagging, they may be inclined to work harder. It's not the easiest and most natural thing to do now, but at least that will help them face their first major exam with more confidence.

The kids may not really manifest it, but they may be feeling more stressed than you. Help them to feel you're with them to overcome the \"insurmountables\" and then just pray for the best. :xedfingers:

But easier said than done, I may feel equally uptight next year too. 😓

                    God bless!

I am sure you will be very busy next year...but don't worry nor think about this yet...you can start drilling once SA2 is over.

I sure need every possible divine help now. Not nagging, motivating and giving rewards to move on is tough. Told my son not to get too stressed out over prelims...do what he can, since not using DSA. After the prelims, then go all out for the BIG thing.
