Well, all Singaporeans will think the same way and they will try for schools that they would otherwise not try. So end up popular schs will still ballot.

            Hi…

            Sorry for some late reply…
            My kid is in 5.2…

Complain about giving them homework but then after doing the homework, the teacher did not take back the homework to mark and can stay in the folder for a long time. Complain about asking them to bring back forms for parents to sign but then, didnt collect back the forms. Example, the travel information form which the kids are supposed to fill up and return to school but teacher didnt bother to collect back. To a certain extent, they do not understand why they are doing this from the teacher but there is no follow up fom the teachers. The only time when the teacher is interested in collecting back the forms are some whereby the parents need to do some payment.

Well, this is no longer happening in 5.2…but it does happened duting P3 and P4. Again, it delends on teachers…

Well, where are the HODs then ?

It happens to my son in P5 this year. Previous years were ok. I always ask him to hand in the homework since he made the effort to do the homework but he always tell me that the teacher didnt ask them to hand in. I told him to just give the teacher but he says cannot. So it just sit in his folder in case the teacher suddenly ask him to hand in until I find it too heavy for him to bring back & fro.

I have the same problem with the forms, most of them are sitting in the folder too. But that didnt happen with my younger son in P3. So I guess it all depends on the teacher.

Haha, I thought this only happens to P1 and P2. What’s puzzling is why didn’t the children remind the teachers to hand it in? They are already P5! Shouldn’t be spoonfed and hand in only when told to do so. They should have more initiative.

He will tell me that the teacher says dont need to hand in… So I will wait for his subject files to come back and just file in… I thoughts are that there are just too much to mark so they just ask the kids to do as revisions so that at least they are doing some work at home as not all kids will do much assessment books on their own.

This term, they have started on homework on Ask&Learn on a weekly basic. So more homework but teacher dont have to mark since the system will do the marking…

My kid is in P3, his mid year exam papers are still in his school bag. The teacher did not ask them back. So I am waiting for the subject files to be back to do the filing. Shouldn’t the teacher recalled the exam papers after the parents signed them? Yes, acknowledgement forms are also sitting in his folder.

Anyone notice the June holidays Asknlearn, the questions set are in pdf? The resolution is so bad.

                        Hi Mashy,
Thats the reason I advised for those parents thinking of Anderson Primary, unless they really do not have a choice, opt for others...
