Agreed. :goodpost:
Well, look at her latest MTVs posted in this thread. If you could tell from the videos that she is portraying a good image of what a Christian should be, then yes I would agree with you. -
My personal observation based on friends’ FB is that as a result of this incident, it led christians to be "divided". Eg. those who support KH and strongly believe should pray for him to be free. While the other group who feels that a mistake is a mistake and he should pay for his mistake. Saw some emotional arguments as a result of this.

Five senior members of City Harvest Church (CHC), including its founder Kong Hee, were charged in court on Wednesday with misappropriating church funds.
The prosecution is levelling three charges against the five -- involving over S$50 million in total. This is more than the S$23 million earlier announced by the Commissioner of Charities.
These bond investments, which the prosecution said are \"sham transactions\", were allegedly devised to conceal the diversion of some S$24 million from the church's Building Fund to fund Ho Yeow Sun's music career. Ho is Kong Hee's wife.
Four people are liable for the first charge -- Kong Hee, Tan Ye Peng, Lam Leng Hung and Chew Eng Han.
The second charge relates to a series of transactions that some of the accused had created to clear the purported bond investments off the church's accounts.
The third charge relates to the falsification of church's accounts to cover their tracks.
.......... etc.

according to Channel News above report,
S$24 million from the church's Building Fund had been diverted to fund Ho Yeow Sun's music career.
... mean she'd used part of $24 million, to fund production of above video clips!
KH is a disgraced pastor !
the church funds were meant to help the poor & needy. -

Umm, actually I thought church funds are meant to further the Christian cause, set up churches and outreach…the focus on poor and needy is more on charity which churches can do, but should not be the main focus.
I don’t go to that church and won’t cast any stones since not my money. Just sit on the riverbank and watch the show. -

True, church fund should be used mainly to further and maintain the church foremost. One of the main issues raised here is whether Sun Ho's music career in USA is truly meant to further the cause of the church. Even if we sit around doing nothing, like it or not, this case will affect other Christians indirectly. CHC is extremely high profile and like it or not does affect non believers' perception of Christianity in Singapore. Maybe some non believers will be so turned off that they will not even want to try attending a service in a more 'normal' church. That is why we have to be careful how we as Christians present ourselves as we are meant to reflect Christ in our lives. If we fail to do so, we may indirectly steer away people in our lives away from Christ forever.Umm, actually I thought church funds are meant to further the Christian cause, set up churches and outreach.....the focus on poor and needy is more on charity which churches can do, but should not be the main focus.

Maybe initial intention is good OR it is meant to be a scam all along. After what had happened, it made no difference. The intention is the same.Umm, actually I thought church funds are meant to further the Christian cause, set up churches and outreach.....the focus on poor and needy is more on charity which churches can do, but should not be the main focus.
