A letter from a Christian asking Singaporeans to forgive Pastor Kong Hee

Jesus preaches forgiveness, and therefore we must forgive even if we don’t want to.

So I forgive the government, and the public for misunderstanding and maligning the Church.

There’s a special place in hell for people who say nasty things about Kong Hee and an even worse one for those that framed God’s chosen workers.

I pray that it will be like Sodom and Gonorrhea.

I was from CHC. I left about a year ago because my wife wanted us to be in the same church. Until now, my leader in CHC keeps in contact with me. They do not treat us like outcast because we have left. I would say that the people in CHC are not blind followers of Pastor Kong. We have seen how much he and his wife has impacted lives, and how the cross over project has built orphanages and done a lot of good.


I myself benefitted a lot from his teachings. Sometimes, we are quick to judge and 'celebrate' the bad news but nobody wants to hear all the good that is done and remember. Even if people say I am stupid to believe in him and to stand for him if he is guilty, I will do that. I cannot forget all the good that this couple has done.

Many could also have benefitted from the principal who had been convicted in the underage prostitution case. His good work as a principal is not going to change the fact that he has erred. Same parallel drawn here for Kong Hee.

Yes, the cross over project might have done some good deed overseas. However we must also look at how much funds are into building of those orphanages and how much dumped and wasted on Sun's singing career.

No lar, I am not wise, and besides, no man can be as wise as God Himself. I am still discovering about God everyday and learning more about Him and His ways. If God does prompt me one day, yes, I will give it a serious thought.

Dream, did u ever hear SH speaking or singing in tongues while u were there?
I saw one clip where she seemed to be in one portion.
I read somewhere dat d No.2 told d congregation dat he cld teach them to speak in tongues.
Dat shd hv raise a red flag fr d discerning.

not only sh, basically almost every member could speak and sing in tongue, or at least that was what they thought they could do. And i thought i could too. But when i left chc I've spent time praying and rediscovering my Christianity, and suffice to say God revealed to me that i never had the gift in the first place, thus i no longer speak in tongue now. I was just basically muttering the same gibberish that my ex churmates were uttering.

Now just to clarify, i am not saying everyone from chc is faking tongues. I believe there are good honest Christians who are truly blessed by god with the gift of tongues. But everyone can receive the gift of tongue? I don't think so.
