Saint Hilda's Primary School... Why would you even consider other schools in the area if you are closest to SHPS? Given that it is a brand name school, it has a long history and culture of excellence. That's why even though Junyuan and East View is nearby, parents from all over the East still flock to the school. With your distance being so close, you really should capitalise on it!

It is the only school in Tampines to offer 270 places. So, even though the competition is keen, the new ruling putting citizens first and coupled with the available places up \"for grabs\", your daughter stands a higher chance of getting in.

FYI, SHPS will be moving to Bedok South for two years (2013 - 2014) for (even more) upgrading. So, if you choose this school, be prepared to make arrangements for her commute to the holding site at Bedok South.

Any parents sending their kids to Tampines Primary School? Can share how is it? Do you have any concern with the school share the campus with Tampines Secondary School?

          2011 phase 2C

          Tampines:
St Hilda, Chongzheng, Gongshang, Poi Ching, Tampines, East Spring required balloting.

the rest: no ballot, walk in direct.

Hi all, I'll be shifting to Tampines St. 21 in Nov this year.. Currently i've a P1 boy and another soon-to-be p1 boy next year.

My elder son is currently in Tanjong Katong Pri sch. not a 'branded' sch, not too strong academically too but my son and I liked it. Not so stressful for both parents and child. And good for mental and physical development too (i guess 😛 )

I'm new to the schools in Tampines.. In your opinion, which sch in Tampines is similar to Tanjong Katong pri? Not so academically stressed, all rounder development type?

            Thanks for all inputs! 😄

Hi , can anyone advise us on which school to choose between SHPS and Tampines Primary ? We are singaporean and staying withing 1 km of both schools. Knowing that the chances are really slim in getting into SHPS due to balloting , is it advisable to try our luck ?

i am in a dilemma now. Lets say i have equal chance in getting into SHPS and Poi Ching. But Poi Ching is just opposite my block, while i have to take feeder bus to SHPS. And SHPS is moving to temp school in Bedok on 2013 ans 2014.

Which school should i choose? My girl is not the extremely gifted type. Is SHPS more academically stressful than Poi Ching? I know SHPS is very popular but is it more suitable for my girl?

Any parents in singapore (including myself) are dying to put our child in this kind of branded school, but it is our child who will be in the school studying there for the rest of his/her 6 years of their life. So choosing the school that suit our child is very important. And primary school now is not like primary school our time, start by primary 1 already, they have so many activity, so choosing school which is near to our house is also a bonus to our child. All school in singapore is a good school, it is etiher popular and unpopular school. Just my humble taught.

As per last year registration, both SHPS and Tampines primary goes on balloting for phase 2c. Let say if this year both schools need ballot for that phase, and you decide to register your child in SHPS, and after ballot in SHPS you didn't get in, you may lose Tampines primary too. And you have to register to any school which still have vacancy which may not be in your within 1km. But if this year Tampines Primary do not have balloting, then you are save, you can register to this school under phase 2C supplementary. You have to decide and plan ahead too. This is just a scenario for you to see. But i wish you best of luck in either of the school. cheers...
