1) How many $5 notes did she bring along?
2) What is total value of $2 notes she had brought.

Sam had four time as many stamps as muthu at first. when both added an equal number of stamps to their collection, muthu had 66 stamps and sam had thrice as many stamps as muthu. How many stamps did each of them add to their collection? Pl explain in detail…

Emmi has a collection of 125 fiction and non fiction books. 2/5 of the fiction books is equal to 3/5 of the non fiction books. How many more fiction books than non fiction books are there in his collection? Pl explain me.... :sad:

Before
Sam=> 4u
Muthu => u

After A number to stamps added
Sam => 4u + A
Muthu => u + A
Muthu => 66 stamps
Sam is thrice as many stamps as muthu

3u = 2 x 66
u = 44
A => 66-44 = 22

So 22 stamps were added to each.

2/5 = 3/5

6/15 = 6/10

(The key is to make the numerator the same in both fractions.)

Total units of fiction books = 15
Total units of non fiction books = 10

25 units = 125
1 unit = 5
Total fiction books = 15 x 5 = 75
Total non fiction books = 10 x 5 = 50

There are 25 more fiction books than non fiction books.
