Got a shock of my life to see my water and electricity consumption usage suddenly shot up 1/3 above the national average for Jun12 while the past six months have been maintaining below national average. What could have gone wrong. Does it mean it is time to change my washing machine? How will one know? Does charger for vacuum cleaner consume a lot of electricity if we leave it one whole night? Was it because the past month have been estimated and June actually reading include adjustment for the past month ? Does it happen to you?

Read somewhere in the bill that there is a website for us to enter our meter reading :? Is it necessary to do that to ensure no data integrity issue in the bill? Else how do you double check the billed reading?
If you wanna monitor your electricity consumption habit you can also call to tell them your meter reading ... They will let you know on which date u should call.

Busymom, is it you have 2 of everything? Like 2 fridge, 2 maid’s, etc. That could bring up your bills. My friend has 9 people staying in the house and their bill about $600+ monthly.

Yup, she has 2 of everything ... except 2 husbands. For that, she only has one. 🦆

eh... 2 TVs, 2 maids and 2 fridge (although technically 1 is a freezer).

Another culprit, I think, is that my maids love to use the vacuum to do everything... instead of wiping with cloth (e.g. furniture). :spank:

BTW, no side business one hor. But we are a family of 6 + 1 now. We don't use dryer, but quite a lot of washing (not sure if maids are loading the washing machine full or not though).

Wait till you hear about our grocery bills... that's why recently have to take action and personally see what are the groceries that are bought from NTUC. :nunchuk:
                  Hi busymom,

+1 now :scratchhead: You just had a new bb???

                  Yah $700 does sound :yikes:

We are family of 8 and currently around $350 (excluding gas) and it includes :
                  * Daily twice a day cooking
                  * 2 aircons (same compressor) at least 9 hours per night. Hotter nights then + 1. (diff compressor)
                  * Monthly visits by sils' families. So entire house aircon for 5 hours.
                  * As my pils and maid are at home during daytime so that would mean tv, computer usage, etc... as well
                  * Water tank heater - we usually turn on 15-20 mins before bathing. Switch off after using. BTW, my tenant \"burntout\" our rheem heater and we suspect they kept it on 24/7. They also kept the aircon on 24/7. Their bills is co. paid so they probably don't feel the pinch at all.
