No amount of money and fame should be able to buy jail time if the law here is really just. Come to think of it, Principal Lee was also famous for the great things that he did with his students over those years. He did have his share of fun.. then got his share of judgment and now more than over n done with doing his time in prison. In fact even before he was officially charged and sentenced, the internet wasn't at all forgiving on him as news was rife over every cyber platform possible. In my humble opinion he had been more than duly punished for his misadventure a gazillion times over even before official proceedings began. Being in civil service n what more in the teaching industry, circumstances really hasnt been kind to Principal Lee. Hopefully he and his family are doing well and in healing over all this saga. It takes conscientious effort to rebuild what was lost. The rest that can help are lots of time, love and perhaps faith. My heart goes out to his family. Hope they can find it in them to reignite the love that once brought them together. It won't be the same neither would it be easy... But what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger.
You mean song not suitable ? Awww .. Like that song so much !
Think Principal Lee at least \"paid\" for his \"wild abalone\" and can move on oredi. Actually , I do admire him for coming forward to admit it all. 男子汉大丈夫,敢作敢担。am not saying what he did is correct though.
if I am his wife, I'll need a lot of faith and much rebuilding of trust back in the relationship again especially the \"dirty linen\" is splashed all over the media.
All the best, Mr Lee ! :please: -

One issue this case raises is the availability of these ‘forbidden fruits’.
‘Freelancers’ and their pimps brazenly advertise their services in well known sex sites such as s******y even though it is clearly illegal. Yet, the local authority is not doing anything to round up these people even though the evidence is right smack in front of their faces, why? -

You can't prove they are illegal unless entrapment is used to gather evidence. To get back on track on this discussion.

The question is.. is it necessary to resort to entrapment just to collect evidence against these pple? it is not like drugs.. prostitution in itself is not illegal, unlike drugs trading.
The client have to do their own checks lah..
or, do what you want, but don't get caught.. -

I am not sure the technicalities on the legal prostitution here. AFAIK, I thought all legal prostitutes need to be licensed and can not solicit their services in public?

So shouldn't the screenshots from the website should be good enough evidence to charge them? I agree entrapment should only be used as a last resort if the guilty party poses immediate risks to other people. -
Dreamaurora:
1. The website advertise for escort or prostitution? Escort is not illegal.

2. The forums, identity of the person is unknown. They need to use entrapment to seek out the real person. And the real person (pimp) that may \"show up\" may be the small prawns.. except the prostitutes.. And the prostitutes may not have solicited.. it is the pimp that does.
3. No entrapment, never seen the person, how to tell if they are licensed or not?
4. Screenshots doesn't tell you anything about the identity of the person (pimp). You arrest the prostitute, may end up in a wild goose chase. The prostitute may not even have seen the person. -
another 11 men had been arrested for patronising an underaged Viet
girl and the first few had been hauled to court..probably more to come :yikes: -
Lawyers and Police very busy of late…collecting evidence and hauling these men to court. Even the judges are busy too.
Ex-P smart and brave to own up. He can now move on to start life anew…as compared to the rest who are either jobless or suspended from work…fearing the sentence they are going to get. -
