Does that mean that the rich can only afford to be under the aegis of Miss Loi? How about the poor? Will they succumb to low-quality, not-so-intelligent tutors?

Hey ! What seems to be the problem here Wilburlim ? It is just simple nature discussion and sharing of info here not directed at anyone in particular ...if not for the originator and contributors of this topic I wouldn't have know about the two tutors mentioned and their strength and style...

Your remarks are uncalled for .... Please keep this forum a friendly place for people to share info freely... just Live And Let Live OK ? :offtopic:

Think she conducts tuition such a way that your child will be given worksheets to do there together with other students from different schools or different levels. if it is a new topic or you have problem, you can ask her and she will tutor you.Otherwise child just sits there and does her or his own work. It is a unique teaching style, depends on your child 's learning style. Please correct me if I am wrong, as my niece was her student and I got this info from her.

You can even pay her to do your child 's homework and she can even imitates your child's handwritting. I must say that is a unique service too! Got this info from her website.
What? How can a tutor do that? If the child doesn't do his/her homework, how to do tests/exams?

Precisely, this is a travesty of a fruitful tuition for students. The tutors cannot replace their students in exams, and ultimately, it is the students who are going to get their distinct results. This really defeats the purpose of studying. :skeptical:

Mr Max Tan from True Learning is very good. The rates are also reasonable. My daughter is under him for math. But I think some of his classes are full.

Totally agree :rahrah: Mr Max Tan is one of the best math tutors. My girl has greatly benefitted from his teaching. Anyone has any recommendations for A-level chemistry tuition? Thanks in advance!

                  Hi,
May I know where is Mr Max Tan located? Is the new branch in Kembangan open as I live nearby? Thks.

Been informed that Miss Loi did homework for students is a April 's Fool Day joke! Hope that clarifies most doubt! No tutor’s teaching style for the same subject is exactly the same, so whether one benefits really depends on his or her learning style. Hope that helps.

so there were 4 students all together

how come she didn’t give him the attention ? was it he always showed that he knows the stuff or dare not ask question ? or he needs people to dig out from him what he does not know ?

Miss Celine Loi is featured today in the Home section of the ST giving her take on the repercussions of regulating the private tuition industry. Surprisingly young she is, only 37 this year.

Mr Max Tan and his team of teachers were also featured too.
With their impressive awards and certifications, it is not surprising that they were interviewed by ST.
