hello, we contribute by giving birth to boys and then let the govt adopt them for 2 yrs  πŸ˜‰ what more you want hah... :nunchuk:

Hmmmm. If I were 25 years younger, I think I dun mind.
Think only hor, not sure will volunteer or not.

Come my DD time, SG girls already have difficulty finding husband. Roughen up with scars here & there (then other woman all white, smooth, demure etc) .... what are her chances??? Shallow thinking but can't help it πŸ˜‰

Hmmmm, I didn't get any scars while training. During training, unless it's Physical Training, we were in our no.4 long sleeves, plus boots, pretty much covered up. My hands became rough from the pull-ups, lady style, but went back to normal after passing out from OCS. I was tan from the constant outdoor training but again after passing out from OCS, i was not so tan as compared during the time that I was during training.[/quote]u hear dat ladies?
SAHM TAN has gone thru' it, it's not dat bad.
n some guys like women in uniform too.
Where better for ur daughters to find boyfriends than in d SAF overflowing with young eligible males.
Comeon, don't give d excuse dat ur NS is producing babies,
d men hv no part in it huh? πŸ¦†

I was a very blur soldier, especially so during early morning run. Don’t remember hearing it. But I remembered once I was marching with my section in SAFTI and a group of guys were singing something, they kena scolded by the officers and I think it was becos they were making fun of us.

Somewhat. Must be my own thinking and values that is getting in the way of me getting the right picture here. I mean, you are saying that big brother is here to help you in case a former fellow victim bullies you, yet, he is, at the same time, supporting your former bully (who happens to have not admitted they have done any wrong in the past)? Frankly, that gives me the creeps more than anything else! A former NPCC, I will go anytime the country needs me, BUT, that is, if it isn't the country that betrays me first!

d stability which enables one to build economic strength needs a strong military deterrence to back it up.
Wat we don't hv in strength, we ride on d strength of a major power.
Every country is β€˜making use’ of each other for their self interest.
Thus one cannot depend on any one country for our defence as it will ultimately be down to ourselselves
          – therefore SG needs to be self-reliant n remain relevant.
Maintaining a strong military force for deterrence will therefore remain a cornerstone of SG policies.
Its d composition of dat force dat is debatable.

d US is projecting a stronger presence in Asia to keep in check d growing economic n military power of China n India
not purely out of benevolence to protect d 'weaker' countries, but also to protect their own global economic interests.

SG seized d opportunity to become d supply, maintenance n repair base for d US 7th Fleet when d US abandon d Phils.
Changi Naval Base was later built to US specs to accommodate aircraft carriers n nuclear subs which Sembawang Supply base couldn't accommodate.
SG is getting d littorals (4 in total IIRC), d first in dis class to be deploy by d US Navy in d world, ostensibly to protect d sea lanes in d Malacca Straits.

Thanks, Way, for trying to explain. However, you haven't quite addressed my doubts on where WE stand, doubts which originates from my sense of logic. Of course, that is not to say we don't need to build a strong defence for our own country. I guess politics is never logical in the first place, hence my futile attempt in trying to analyze it that way.

Hm.... :scratchhead: I suppose so, if you were to word it that way, since it seems obvious now that it is The Pink Army you guys are concerned with... πŸ˜† :rotflmao:

Ooops, in case it looks like I am not seriously looking for an answer, I am still all ears.
