2012 P1 Registration Exercise for 2013 In-Take
-
nite:
Based on what I remembered last year, the no. of students registered is available daily. To play safe, if you are in 2C , you can monitor the situation and only register on the last day. If your choice Sch is oversubscribed, it may be a good idea to drop it and go for the second choice with a guaranteed entry.Hi,
Will the registration info will be available in real-time at the end of each day during P2B and P2C? Can we change our decision (ie. drop and take up another school) during this period depending on the real-time statistics? Will we know how many PR and SC apply for P2B and P2C each day during the phase prior to balloting?
How about the distance information for the applicants?
This can be helpful for distressed parents
Thanks,
The system is linked in moe. Once you have registered in a particular Sch, you can't register another Sch.
This is the 1st year where SC has priority over PR. not sure if moe would reflect that information on their web page.
Good luck. :rahrah: -
What about ACS(P) besides ACS(J) under P2C within 1km? Appreciate your comments.

Hi! Zakashi, good to see you again. I'm also caught in between these 2 school and these 2 schools need to be ballot last year within 1 km.
2012 vacancies /applicants phase 2c
ACSP 24/29
ACSJ 63 / 76 (Ballot 1st time in history, correct me if i'm wrong) -
Hi,
What is the difference between the different ACS (ACSJ, ACSP etc.) schools here? Same management? Different quality of teaching?

All i know is that the school fee is different. -
But, you can drop out of a school chosen in P2A and register for a different school at P2C, right? Doesn't this apply within P2B or P2C to avoid balloting in case the school turns out to be popular?
What happens if everyone waits until the last day of registration and there is a rush for the limited places on the last day? Then, the vacancy numbers on the MOE website may not be reflective of the situation.

Was there balloting even for these 64 vacancies under 2C for <1km?
Yes, balloting happened within 1km last year for phase 2C. 76 applied and only 64 successful. http://www.acsjunior.sg/docs/Forms/P1%20Intake%20%282010%20to%202012%29.pdf
For this year on, it will depend on 2 things - Sg citizen? and dist from school? For last yr, there were only 64 vacancies under 2C and there were all taken up by those within 1km (for ACSJ, that is).leongmichael:
Hi
What is everyone opinion on ACS for phase 2C ?
Thanks
If you are not within 1km or 2km, there may be still a chance if your son is SC. Many are watching the outcome to see how many SC children beyond 1-2km from popular schools are successful. Good luck! -

Thanks for the advise...
The only thing is although this yr SC got so called priority it still doesn't give SC full priority over those PRs in phase 2B since they admit based on phases, or even those PRs in 2A2 or 2A1. :stompfeet: -
Yup! That’s rite.
