The Ministry of Finance has received queries from Singaporeans on the amount of U-Save rebates that they and their household are eligible for, since Singaporeans started receiving their GST Voucher (GSTV) notification letters from Monday.
We would like to clarify that although family members living in the same household may have individually received the notification letter on the GSTV - U-Save that their household is eligible for, it would be inaccurate to add together the GSTV - U-Save in each letter. In other words, each household is eligible for only one GSTV – U-save rebate, similar to past U-Save rebates. The amount of GSTV – U-Save depends on the flat type, and not the size of the household...
Someone made a mistake again? :faint:
2.1 million Singaporeans to receive GST Vouchers...

A total of $440 million in GST Vouchers in both cash and Medisave top-ups will be given on August 1...
So this earlier report is based on correct or wrong figures?

Don't understand the money-flying, it was never yours to begin with, so why the fuss? How would you prefer the MOF to have rolled this out?

So what is the point of receiving 4 U save vouchers but only 1 is eligible for each household? So 4 individuals are eligible but only 1 is allowed. Puzzled on the use of this word "eligible".

Suddenly everyone is a grammar expert. Lets sack everyone in MOF for failing to admit to a monumental grammatical error.

3boys. I guess you aren't happy when the government is giving out money. We may go down the slippery slope of welfare society that many western economies have their present financial trouble rooted on. But see from another perspective, our government has so many creative policies that collect tax in the expense of its citizen, what is there to worry that the government just give part of it away? It is still way better than they use it liberally in some constituencies to buy votes.
