Saw a document about how they feed these geese. The geese are not allowed to roam about. They are actually restrained and there will be tubes shoved down their throats and these tubes will pump food directly into their stomachs. These geese are deliberately overfed so that they will develop enlarged and fatty livers. So essentially they are unhealthy geese and foie gras is diseased liver.
And to make you more guilty, the chicken/beef/pork/fish we eat are not treated that well too. So long as they are commercially farmed, they will not be living 'quality' life. -

Hey.... the goose is not treated like the wagyu cattle which get to eat good grains, listen to music and get massaged.

These goose and ducks are forced fed and a tube is stuck down their throat to load their stomachs with food. -

don't think these days we practice husbandry and farm animals for our own consumption. NEA won't permit that
that said, is there any meat no commercially farmed ?
may be we should think about those wild boars in Thomson ...... :rotflmao: -

I did mention in another thread that wild boar meat is considered a delicacy right?
Bring out your bow and arrows, and go bag yourself a pig. DS volunteered his Nerf Vortex. :rotflmao:
