out of curiousity, does anyone know on average how many letters for given for GRL to participate for phase 2B this year?

I am presently resident of Juron east as given in my NRIC, I am shifting in Nov 2012 to ang mo kio, i have taken a HDB resale in ang mo kio, My first appointment is in Sep 2012, I have received a letter from HDB for my first appointment. Please suggest me which school shall i go joining for P1 in 2013 Jan.

My phase is 2C.

For me I will go for schools in AMK too. The convenience and time, cost saved from travelling is very crucial to my family.

Can anyone give me some guidance on what is a good back up plan?


I stay within 1km to Henry Park and 1-2km to Fairfield Methodist, under the Phase 2b GRL, I can opt for schools in Tanjong Pagar GRC or Holland Bukit Timah GRC

Initial plan was HPPS since I am within 1km under Phase 2b and even Phase 2c, but there are only 12 slots left!!!... What is a good back up plan? HELP!!!!

Y u can opt for 2 GRC schs? :?

For those serving in CCC, CCMC or CDC are eligible to go for schools within the GRC which they serve and GRC which they reside, hence 2 GRCs. For those serving in other GROs like RC/NC only eligible for the GRC which they serve.

There were some in the past few weeks. But usually for not so popular schools. Hot schools didn't need open house to boost enrolment.

If you have Facebook, like the ministry of education page, it keeps you updated on the schools holding open house.

Bukit Timah Primary, River Valley, Radin Mas Primary - anyone has any view of these schools & Phase 2C supplementary any chance?

Based on historical trend, only Bukit Timah Primary School has vacancies for phase 2C supp.

With vacancies in HOT schools taken by SC, Bukit Timah Pri may become the next hot for those in Phase 2C.

If you are using your new AMK address then I would advise you to call MOE Hotline first thing Monday morning, 16/7, to check on your address eligiblity status. If my information is correct - Prove of new future address is based on HDB 2nd appointment letter, not first.

If you are using your existing Jurong East address then based on 2011 Phase 2C Supp vacancies available, the following AMK schools are still good bets for phase 2C selection :-

Jing Shan Primary School >29
Mayflower Primary School >90
Teck Ghee Primary School >13
Townsville Primary School >77
