      Hi luckyme,

I know my kids are both in primary school...so easier said than done. But what you mentioned is very true. The stress and pressure begins when the child starts P1. The adjustment from kindy to formal schooling...buying food, longer school hours, eating within the time frame and getting used to teachers who are no longer addressing kids their sweetie pies and darlings. Sorry for scaring you.
      :yikes: :faint:

You are right! I am already very stress for 2014 In-Take… … next year will be my turn… … I can go without stress if my hubby allows me to travel 4 km from our new place. He is right! Roysth is just next to us. Why stress the child 6 years of travelling plus no. 2. A total of 8 yrs!!!

This is really stressful… … no wonder people don’t want children, pay and stress but I love children. Can have less stress? I thought I am lucky to get a place near good school. Now, I think I am super unlucky… … so stressful.

              All the best.

Don’t be too "kancheong", registering later (ie. tmr) may be better strategy for popular schools as u can assess what is your % of success in balloting before u register with your eyes wide-opened. But then again, many parents may be doing it tmr too. This apply mainly to those GRL parents.

Anyone out there going for Phase 2B at De La Salle?

I am registering my DD tomorrow to gauge the chances. Thinking of asking staff tomorrow how are my chances? If low chances (cos school moving back to old location so think more parents will be trying again versus 2 years ago), then will try CHIJ Bukit Timah or Yew Tee Primary.

Good luck to all fellow 2B-ers!

Why will GRL parents do it tomorrow?

Sigh..hb wanted DD to go to school further so that his parents need not be responsible. But my parents already i their 70s, plus all the travelling. Think it will be a tiring 6 more years! 😞

Wherever the school moves to (temporary location), the original premise will be used as distance to your home. That's my understanding.

hmmm, ever consider student care if both of you are working?

It will be tiring for your parents to travel, esp when kids require to stay back for suppl lessons/CCA. Worse case, do consider before/after school care. Try to find one which allows the child to have a shower because that bath will refresh the child after a hot day in school.
